DRAWING PRACTICE – END BRACKET
AIM
To draw the given drawing using AutoCAD.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
AutoCAD 2000 or above.

PROCEDURE
1. Set ready AutoCAD window for a new drawing.

2. Complete the given figure using Line, Circle, Arc, etc.

3. Keep object snap ON during the operation for accuracy (F3 to ON/OFF OSNAP)

4. Wherever possible use the offset command to save time.

5. Change line type in the properties window for centre line, chain line, etc.

6. Hatch the sectional view with proper pattern and scale.

7. Choose any dimension type from Dimension Menu and start dimensioning the drawing object.

8. Use the DDIM command to change dimension style.

9. Give necessary caption with MTEXT command.

10. Save the drawing.

11. Submit the drawing for verification

DRAWING PRACTICE – ISOMETRIC DRAWING
AIM
To draw the given drawing using AutoCAD.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
AutoCAD 2000 or above.

PROCEDURE
1. Set ready AutoCAD window for a new drawing.

2. Go to grid settings and turn on isometric snap..

3. Use the F5 key to change between the views of isometric planes.

4. Start from the front view and draw the the line of length of line 104 using the F8 key
(Orthomode key) and continue with the 48 length line.

5. Change to top plane and draw the 72mm line.

6. Continue in the same fashion to complete the whole figure.

7. Give the dimensions from the dimension tool bar as in diagram. Use aligned linear dimension
for dimensioning

8. Enter DIMEDIT command and use oblique option to change the dimensions to isometric angle.

9. Enter DIMTEDIT command and use angle option to change dimension text to isometric angle

10. Save the drawing.

11. Submit the drawing for verification
