Content aim: Students will be able to analyze if we had become a market society and to
discuss possible situations of their professional life where economic incentives
could be carry out a moral problem.
Language aim: Students will be able to recycle useful expressions in order to express agreement
and disagreement
Outcome: Speaking skill: To carry out a conversation in small groups to evaluate the pros
and cons of introducing economic incentives to professionals in their
professional life.

Post-listening (Propose the students the following context)

You are a part of a committee in a Lawyers firm or a clinic (depends of your


profession).

First part: 25 minutes

You have to decide if your institution is nonprofit one or not. If yes, you have to
convince rich people to fund your institution. If not, you have to convince the
public to get your services.

After doing so, you have to create a strategy to encourage your employees in
order to get better results. Look for pros and cons of your strategy. Please take
into account moral, economic, environmental and social impact.

Second part: (5 minutes each group)

Groups have to present their proposals.
