B. Precondition and the finishing work

1. Precondition work and finishing work

(Can use general accident safety code and correlative knowledge)

1.1 Precondition work

1.1.1 Affirm there are not passengers on steps and footplate
1.1.2 Using E-Stop Button on key switch panel, top ES.
1.1.3 Placed Barricades on the footplate
1.1.4 If there is not striking notice words on Barricades, should add warning words
1.1.5 Take out terminal floor with Floor open tool.
1.1.6 Put the disassemble floor on the ground in sequence.
1.1.7 Affirm if it is easy that entry machine room.
1.1.8 Before enter machine room , turn off stop button and MCCB[Molded Case Circuit
Break] ( main power is Off, power is Off ).
1.1.9 (When don’t use MSB, when work on the Step) should install Lock-Out & Tag-Out
on MCCB handle.
1.1.10 Using Controller Lifting device, take Controller out.
- Controller don’t fall down on the floor

1.1.11 When running with MSB， Handle of MCCB is On.

1.1.12 Choose Maint mode on controller

1.1.13 Remove dust cap of connector on controller, in order to connect MSB
1.1.14 Connect MSB.
1.1.15 When come into machine room, using footplate

1.1.8 Stop button 1.1.9 Lock-Out/Tag-Out

1.2 Finishing work

1.2.1 Remove MSB, close dust cap of connector on controller
1.2.2 Using safety footplate, come out from machine room
1.2.3 (When don’t use MSB ), remove Lock-Out, Tag-Out.
1.2.4 Put Controller into top machine room.
1.2.5 Choose Normal mode on controller
1.2.6 Turn on the E-Stop button in machine room, and MCCB Handle is On.

1.2.7 Affirm ES startup normally，after rotate one loop ，affirm step installation state.
1.2.8 After cover the Floor in sequence， affirm if there is difference in joint part

1.2.9 Remove Barricades.

1.2.10 Make ES run with Key Switch.

1.3 MSB operation

1.3.1 Remove Lock-Out/Tag-Out.
1.3.2 Choose “Mainte” mode Control Panel Selector Switch .
1.3.3 Open Dust Cap.
1.3.4 Connect Plug-Housing on MSB to Cap-Housing in joint box.
1.3.5 Affirm passengers are in the safety environment, and eliminate other unsafe
factors.
1.3.6 When ES run up , loose Stop button in MSB, press Start button and Up button
at the same time.
1.3.7 When ES run down, loose Stop button in MSB, press Start button and down
button at the same time.
1.3.8 When ES stop, loose start button and up or down button that have been
pressed ，if ES can’t stop, press stop button on MSB.
1.3.9 Safety examine.
-. ES runs up and down. (Escalator can start)
-. Press Stop Button on MSB. (Stop escalator)
-. Press E-Stop Button again and again. (2~3 times)
1.3.10 Remove MSB according to the opposite sequence.

1.4 Emergency measure

1.3.1 Press Stop Button on key switch panel.

1.3.2 If passengers hurt themselves，please dial Emergency Call.

1.3.3 Placed barricade on the up and bottom footplate.

1.3.4 Open top footplate
Handle of MCCB should be Off.

 In the emergency condition, step should be run with hand .

Operate according to the following method.
1. Open Cover of motor.
2. Jigger handwheel fixes on Motor shaft.
3. Open Brake with Brake Open Lever .
4. According to the needed direction, shift step using jigger handwheel.
5. Brake Lever replacement.

6. Remove jigger handwheel，fix Motor Cover.

Affirmed by specialist that dangerous factors are eliminated, ES can be re-started.

2. Disassemble steps
This work is in the bottom machine room.
2.1 Handle of MCCB is On, bottom E-Stop Button is Off.

2.2 In order to connect MSB[Maintenance Switch Box]，after remove Dust Cap of

connector in Joint Box, connect MSB.
2.3 Disassemble safety guard in bottom machine room.
2.4 Disassemble Step Bush Clamp with Clamp.
2.5 Push bush to the direction of both sides
2.6 Take out Steps from step shaft.

2.7 Handle of MCCB is On， E-Stop Button is On.

2.8 Run the escalator by one step by using MSB

2.9 E-Stop Button should be Off， handle of MCCB should be Off.

2.10 Remove Steps according to item of 2.2~2.7
