Human Resources
State of Franklin Healthcare Associates
Johnson City, TN 37604

Human Resources:

I am responding to your job posting of EMR Coordinator/Clinical EMR Coordinator from the SoFHA Career page. I am
offering my experience as a nursing student who is in her fifth semester of nursing school. I would be honored to
implement not only my knowledge from University, but also clinical experience in working as a team member for Ballad
Health.

In developing my future career in Nursing, I began with becoming a local volunteer at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. I observed
staff in positions such as the lab, a medical surgical floor, and the surgical suites and became familiar with standard
precautions, healthcare collaboration, and the value of giving back to my community. With this experience, I took part in a
Certified Nursing Assistant course offered by Happy Valley High School at Ivy Hall Nursing Home. Once certified, I became
familiar with Franklin Woods Community Hospital as a volunteer in the Family Birth Center. I worked with a designated
employee and was able to witness patient-centered care and observe the value of team member collaboration. Also, I am
currently enrolled as a student at East Tennessee State University in the College of Nursing. Furthermore, I am a current
team member at Johnson City Medical Center.

As a nursing student and current Nurse Technician I, I gained experiences in dealing appropriately with patient health
information, assisting in resident daily needs, staff collaboration, and the value of the patient-centered approach in giving
care at, previously, Unicoi County Long-term Care. In clinical experience, I have had the opportunity to work with team
members, fellow students, and my instructors to develop an inter-related approach in clinical experience while keeping
safety and comfort in priority. My role as a Nurse Technician at the Johnson Center Medical Center allowed me to
experience a more direct form of involvement within my scope, and my previous clinical and work experience furthered my
opportunity to sharpen skills already learned; also, this allowed me to remain open-minded and patient with new skills as a
Ballad Health team member.

I believe that the EMR Coordinator/Clinical EMR Coordinator job posting would suit my experience level and ongoing
education as a student. With my involvement in volunteering at Franklin Woods Community Hospital, observance of
certified nursing assistants, current enrollment in the College of Nursing, and present status as a Ballad Health team
member, I believe I would be a well-rounded addition to your team in SoFHA OB/GYN.

I would be honored to speak with you regarding the Nurse Technician I position. Please do not hesitate to contact me at
(423) 833-8194. I am available for an interview at an appropriate time for the facility.

Thank you for your time,

Ashley Babb
