 Protection coordination study of the Photovoltaic (PV) power plant

 The purpose of this study is to provide protection settings for overcurrent (OC)
and earth fault (EF) relays
 The total AC output power of the plant is 15 MW.
 It has been designed as a utility scale system with six centralized inverters.
 The inverters convert the DC voltage to AC voltage and are connected to a total
of six transformer stations (1 inverters per transformer station).
 Each of the six transformer stations contains a high voltage (HV) step-up
transformer converting the 550 V inverter voltage to 22 kV level of the
transmission network.
 The transformer stations are connected in two parallel lines (three transformers
per line) to the grid integration station where the point of connection (POC) is
located.
 Since the two transformer branches are identical, this study focuses on one of the
branches. The other branch will run under identical protection device settings.
