American Express

American Express is a credit card, which can be accepted in many different currencies.

To accept American Express cards on your account, a separate merchant ID is required from American Express.
The merchant IDs are generally single-currency only, so you should specify the currencies you require. Once you
have your merchant ID(s), please contact Customer Services so we may configure them on your account.

American Express cards may be used for recurring transactions, if you have a recurring transaction capable
merchant ID.

As a separate merchant ID is required, test accounts are not automatically configured for these.

American Express cards support the 3-D Secure check.

Arval Fuel Card


Arval Fuel Card is a Fuels Card, which accepted transactions in GBP and EUR. It is accepted in Card Holder
Present environments and does not support the 3-D Secure check. Within the CardInfo files, these cards appear
as PHH Fuel Card.

Dankort
Dankort is a card type which is issued in Denmark.

There are two types of Dankort Cards:

 Dankort-Visa - these cards are dual branded. When used within Denmark, they will be processed as Dankort and
act as a debit card. When used outside of Denmark, they will be processed as Visa and act as a credit card. Dual
branded cards appear within the card info files as Visa Debit. If your account accepts Visa cards, you can
process these dual-banded cards.

 Dankort - these cards act as a debit card within Denmark. Within the CardInfo files, these cards appear
as Dankort.

Debit MasterCard
Debit MasterCard is a Debit card which belongs to the MasterCard scheme. It can be accepted in many different
currencies.

The Acquirers which accept this card type are: AIB, Alliance & Leicester, Bank of Ireland, BMS, Elavon Merchant
Services, HBOS, HSBC, Lloyds TSB and the RBS Group. These Acquirers will generally automatically add
MasterCard card functionality to your MID. If you do not wish to accept this card type, please inform Customer
Services.

Debit MasterCard cards may be used for recurring transactions, if you have a recurring transaction capable
merchant ID.

Debit MasterCard cards support the 3-D Secure check.


Diners Club
Diners is a credit card, which can currently be accepted in GBP, EUR and USD.

To accept Diners cards on your account, a separate merchant ID is required from Diners. Diners will generally
issue merchant IDs for the currency of the country in which you are based (i.e. EUR for the EU, GBP for the UK).
Once you have your merchant ID, please contact Customer Services so we may configure them on your account.

As a separate merchant ID is required, test accounts are not automatically configured for these.

Diners cards do not support the 3-D Secure check.

Discover
Discover cards are a credit card.

They can be accepted by merchants acquiring via Chase.

Duet
The Duet Card is similar to a credit card in the way it is authorised and settled through the DataCash System.
Duet is only offered by a select few UK retailers, one or two of which process with DataCash.

The Acquirer which accepts this card type is Creation. As your Acquirer may not automatically add Duet card
functionality to your MID, test accounts are not automatically configured for these.

Duet is not a 3-D Secure enabled scheme.

GE Capital
GE Capital cards are credit cards, which can currently be accepted in GBP.

To accept GE Capital cards on your account, a separate merchant ID is required from GE Capital. Once you
have your merchant ID, contact Customer Services so we may configure them on your account. GE Capital may
require you to perform some accreditation testing before the configuration can be completed.

As a separate merchant ID is required, test accounts are not automatically configured for these.

GE Capital cards do not support the 3-D Secure check.

JCB
JCB is a credit card, which can be accepted in a variety of currencies.

The Acquirers which support this card type are: Alliance & Leicester, Bank of Ireland, BMS, Elavon Merchant
Services, HSBC, Lloyds TSB, National Bank of Australia and the RBS Group. These Acquirers will generally
automatically add JCB card functionality to your MID. If you do not wish to accept this card type, please inform
DataCash.

Test accounts are automatically set up for JCB cards, this can be removed if required.
JCB cards support the 3-D Secure check when processed as an mpi transaction only.
Key Fuels Card
Key Fuels Card is a Fuels Card, which accepted transactions in GBP and EUR. It is accepted in Card Holder
Present environments and does not support the 3-D Secure check. Within the CardInfo files, these cards appear
as CHJones Fuel Card

Maestro
Maestro is a debit card. It can be accepted in many currencies.

Within the CardInfo files, these cards appear as Maestro

If the Maestro card is being processed outside of it's country of issue, then the transaction is a 'cross border'
transaction and it will be processed as International Maestro. If the Maestro card is being processed inside it's
country of issue, then will be processed as domestic Maestro.

Domestic Maestro cards may be accepted in MoTo and e-Commerce environments.

International Maestro cards can be accepted in an e-Commerce environment provided the 3-D Secure check is
attempted. They cannot be processed within a MoTo environment.

Maestro cards are not subject to the Luhn or length checks.

Merchants should be aware that not every Maestro card in issuance has a CV2 and this should be factored in
during checkout design.

MasterCard
MasterCard branded cards can be accepted in many different currencies. Most of these cards are credit cards,
but there are also some pre-paid debit cards issued within this brand

The Acquirers which accept this card type are: AIB, Alliance & Leicester, Bank of Ireland, BMS, Elavon Merchant
Services, HBOS, HSBC, Lloyds TSB and the RBS Group. These Acquirers will generally automatically add
MasterCard card functionality to your MID. If you do not wish to accept this card type, please inform Customer
Services.

MasterCard cards may be used for recurring transactions, if you have a recurring transaction capable merchant
ID.

MasterCard cards support the 3-D Secure check.

Pre-Pay Technologies (PPT)


PPT is a Gift card scheme that accepts transactions in GBP, EUR and USD.

The Acquirer which accepts this card type is PPT. If you wish to accept this card type, please inform Customer
Services.
PPT cards do not support the 3-D Secure check.

RBS Gift Card


RBS Gift Card is a Gift card scheme run by Royal Bank of Scotland (NatWest) which can accept GBP and EUR.

The Acquirer which accepts this card type is the RBS Group. If you wish to accept this card type, please inform
Customer Services.

ReD Fuel Card


ReD Fuel Card is a Fuels Card, which accepted transactions in GBP and EUR. It is accepted in Card Holder
Present environments and does not support the 3-D Secure check.

Solo
Solo is a debit card issued in the UK, which can accepts transactions in GBP only. The Acquirers which accept
this card type are: HBOS, BMS, Alliance & Leicester, HSBC, Lloyds TSB and the RBS Group.

Most Solo cards have now been withdrawn from circulation.

These Acquirers will generally automatically add Solo card functionality to your MID. If you do not wish to accept
Solo cards, please inform Customer Services.

3-D Secure checking may be available, depending upon your Acquiring Bank.

UK Fuel Card
UK Fuel Card is a Fuels Card, which accepted transactions in GBP and EUR. It is accepted in Card Holder
Present environments and does not support the 3-D Secure check.

Visa
Visa is a credit card which can be accepted in many different currencies.

The Acquirers which accept this card type are: AIB, Alliance & Leicester, Bank of Ireland, BMS, Elavon Merchant
Services, HBOS, HSBC, Lloyds TSB and the RBS Group. These Acquirers will generally automatically add Visa
card functionality to your MID. If you do not wish to accept this card type, please inform Customer Services.

Visa cards may be used for recurring transactions, if you have a recurring transaction capable merchant ID.

Visa cards support the 3-D Secure check.

Visa Debit
Visa Debit is a debit card which can be accepted in many different currencies.

The Acquirers which accept this card type are: AIB, Alliance & Leicester, Bank of Ireland, BMS, Elavon Merchant
Services, HBOS, HSBC, Lloyds TSB and the RBS Group. These Acquirers will generally automatically add Visa
Debit card functionality to your MID. If you do not wish to accept this card type, please inform Customer Services.
Visa Debit cards may be used for recurring transactions, if you have a recurring transaction capable merchant ID.

Visa Debit cards support the 3-D Secure check. Within the CardInfo files, this scheme appears as Visa Delta

Visa Electron
Visa Electron is a debit card which can be accepted in many different currencies.

The Acquirers which accept this card type are: AIB, Alliance & Leicester, BMS, HBOS, HSBC, Lloyds TSB and
the RBS Group.

If you wish to accept Visa Electron cards on your account, please check that your Acquirer has configured your
merchant ID(s) appropriately. Once you have done this, please contact Customer Services so we may re-
configure your account.

As your Acquirer may not automatically add Visa Electron card functionality to your MID, test accounts are not
automatically configured for these.

Visa Electron cards support the 3-D Secure check.

VISA Purchasing
Visa Purchasing is a Card Scheme issued by Visa.

Within the DataCash system, they can be processed in the same way as normal Visa Cards. If you wish to
accept Visa Purchasing cards with full corporate purchasing information on your account, please contact
Customer Services.
