Project Management
Project management is the art of creating an illusion that any outcome is the result of a
series of predetermined, deliberate acts when, in fact, it was dumb luck…
Project management is the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling of company
resources for a relatively short-term objective that has been established to complete specific
goals and objectives.
Planning: is the most critical and gets the least amount of our time
Organizing: Orderly fashion (Contingent/Prerequisites)
Controlling: is critical if we are to use our limited resources wisely
Measuring: To determine if we accomplished the goal or met the target?
Measurements of Project success

Within allocated time period
Within the budgeted costs
Accepted by the customer/user

Within corporate culture & without disturbing organizational workflow
Are we efficient?
Are we productive?
Are we doing a good job?
What is the outcome?
Is it what we wanted to be?
Any Process or Means used to track tasks or efforts towards accomplishing a goal could
be considered Project Management
