Lesson plan 1
Objectives:
Students will identify colours
Routine: We will be following the routine ‘’How do you feel today?’’ that
our mentor teacher uses every class before starting with the lesson. 3’
Warm up: For the warm up, after we have done the breathing exercises, we
will present some colours (Red, yellow, brown, orange, blue, green, pink and
white) that would be written in a poster together with the colours themselves,
so that students can learn the spelling and the pronunciation of each colour
that would be guided by the teacher saying the colours. This is an example of
how the colours would be displayed in the poster: 5’

Students will be formed in lines (at the back of the room) and the one who
is in the front will have to pick a paper, run to the whiteboard and paste it below
the corresponding flashcard. Then, he/she will come back and hi 5 the next
student who will have to complete the word. The group that finishes first is the
winner.
The teacher will perform some actions corresponding with some of the
objects that the students learned in the latter activity, and they will have to imitate
the action performed by the teacher (all together from their seats). The actions
will be the following:
Hug the teddy bear
Eat the apple
Fly the plane
Smell the flowers
Wear the cup
In the next step, the teacher will ask students to come to the front (one by
one). They will have to pick up a piece of paper (without seeing) from a bag. The
papers would be of the colors they learned, and they would have the word of the
corresponding verb written on it. The student will read the word and they will
have to perform the action interacting with the real object.
