Solo: Friendship?What is that? Is it when a boy and a girl proclaim their love to each other and call
themselves boyfriend and girlfriend?

Solo: Of course not,that is called a romantic relationship.

Solo: Well,my bad.How am I supposed to know?Boyfriend and girlfriend have the word ‘friend’ in it.

Solo: Maybe if you start thinking using your head instead of your knee, you would be less of a tool.

All: OH,PUT SOME ALOE VERA ON THAT BURN.

Solo: Hey,if you’re so smart,why don’t YOU tell us the meaning of friendship!

Solo:And yet again,I would be the one to save the day.Friendship is when a group of people talk in
meetings to discuss a matter that would give advantage to them.That’s what MY dad told me.And my
dad is ALWAYS right.Right guys?

All:Well…

Solo: Well what?

All: Well,you are completely wrong.Friendship is when two or more people are able to understand
each other without needing any convincing,because they trust each other.

All:Friendship is when we take the responsibility as a friend, and not break our friend’s trust.It is when
we feel and also show our affection to certain people,without feeling like we are obliged to do so,and
sometimes,we would find ourselves caring about those people without even realizing.

Solo: Guys,help me please!What am I going to do? My friends abandoned me and now I am all alone..

All: How can they abandon you? Remember,friendship…true,pure friendship is a beautiful thing.True
friends would stick by your side through thick and thin,no matter what it caused.People who leave
you after getting what they want are not true friends.In fact, they are the cruelest enemy of all.There
is a saying that goes..

Solo:An open enemy is better than a false friend.

Solo: But you don’t have to worry!People who stab your back or hurt you are not worth your tears.Put
a smile on your face,and appreciate the people who care.

All: It is in human nature to care about the people who don’t care about them.And it is also typical for
society to look past the people that DO care.But is it right to do that?Is it okay?The answer is No.The
truth is,humans are very complicated species.Human are a bunch of hypocrites.Do you want to know
WHY?

Solo: Ohh!! I want to tell them why!

All(-solo): ALL of us were going to tell them.Can you please stop interrupting?We’re trying to give out
a very important message here,Mr.Smarty Pants.

Solo: Anywaay…

All: Humans are hypocrites because they don’t want to be hurt.But for some reason,whether we
realize it or not, we ourselves had hurt people.If you disagree,we DARE you to raise up your
hands,and tell that you have NEVER hurt anyone in your life,EVER.Although this is not okay,it is in
human’s nature to hurt.Sometimes we hurt people unintentionally.Sometimes we hurt people
because we WANT them to be in pain.

All: And oddly enough, the people that we hurt, are our friends.Maybe they used to be,or they still
are,but doesn’t it make you wonder?HOW can we still be friends with people that we have hurt,or the
people that hurt us?

All:How can we still sit and talk and laugh and gossip with these people.The ones who leave scars and
wounds in our heart.Is that what Friendship is?

All: True friendship is not a perfect fairy tale where you get along with everyone and you have
absolutely no problem with your flawless,perfect friends.It is when you are able to say NO to
them,without false reason and without lying.It is not about what we say,it is the things that we
do,that matters.

Solo:Sometimes,I feel like I want to punch you in your perfect teeth.

Solo: You see, Iron Man does care.

All:True friendship is when you have faith in someone,even when they are not by your side every
second of your life..True friendship is not measured by presents and compliments,instead it is about
having a bond with your friends,without feeling like we need to give presents,and compliments.

Solo: I cannot believe she stole my work!I have been working on my story for months…The moment
she saw me being vulnerable,she took the chance and now I am left with nothing.

Solo: What? I thought she was your best friend?

Solo: I thought so too,I guess I made the wrong choice…She was one of the most important person in
my life,but it turns out she never cared.

All: When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us,we often find
that it is those who,instead of giving advice,solutions or cures,have chosen rather to share our pain
and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand.

All: The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion,who can stay with us in
an hour of grief and mourn,who can tolerate not knowing,not curing,not healing and face with us the
reality of our powerlessness.That is a friend who cares.

Solo: Remember,don’t pick your friends by popularity or looks.Be very careful with the people that
you trust.Don’t give someone your trust,only for them to break it in seconds.Sometimes the people
that you thought are mean,are the truest of friends.Who knows,sometimes the angel could turn bad.

All: Never forget this,once upon a time,the devil was an angel.

Solo: Well…way to be creepy guys.I’m sure everyone is having the chills right now.I know I am.

All: Now that we may have a vision on what friendship means,it leads to another question.’Is
friendship really important?’

Solo: What kind of question is that?Of course friendship is important to us!Without friends,we might
as well die from depression!

Solo: I’d have to disagree with you.Why do we even need friends?At the end of the day,your life is
about YOU and you make your own decision,so why do you need friends?All they do is stab your back
and break your heart.
Solo:I thought we are over this whole fake friend issue.We are talking about REAL friendship
here,mister/missy.What puts you in a sour mood today?Went through another break up again?

Solo: Shut up.

Solo: Quit it guys.Isn’t it ironic?We’re trying to talk about friendship,yet here you guys are,trying to rip
each other’s head off.

All: Guys,stop bickering will you?Let’s get back on track.Friendship is important,yes,but we should
never let it overpower us.If we choose the right friends,we might have a brighter chance at achieving
happiness.Friends are important because when we are dragged down,when we are beat up and
drained by the challenges (obstacles) in life,our friends would be there for us.They would give us
comfort,and support,and hope.

All: When everyone is ganging up on us,our friends would stick by our side,and they would defend us
without even hesitating.Friends are important because we know that the way we act around each
other will never change no matter how far apart we are.

Solo: You see,Regina George is very influential and powerful,but without her friends,she lost her
charms,and slowly,her popularity started to buckle,and eventually,I fades away.Maybe if she treat her
friends better,she would be happy,and she would not have to worry about popularity and standards.

All: Sometimes,hard times is not all bad…because hard times reveal true friends.True friends won’t
tell you to get over it,they help you you get through it.

strong friendship does not need daily conversations,does not always need togetherness,as long as the
