CWL NEWS
Haldimand Region Fall Conference, Wednesday
October 16th @ St. Martin of Tour Parish,
Smithville with Comedienne Pamela Appel. Born to
be on stage, Pamela loves to spread joy and laughter to
audiences far and wide. When is the last time you had a
big belly laugh? Homemade cabbage roll dinner at 6:30
p.m., doors open at 6:00 p.m. $10 at the door. Please

If you are new to the parish or have been attending
Mass here, ensure that you are registered by completing
the tear off section at the front of this bulletin. Please
do not take for granted that you are registered in the
parish, just because you attend Mass here.
In the future, should you be in need of a pastoral letter
(godparent, school, sponsor for confirmation, teacher
referral, etc.), it would be difficult to issue one if you
are not formally registered with the parish.

requires justice, compassion and forgiveness; to realize,
in the light of God’s love, how blessed we have been
and to see ourselves and others as brother and sister
“servants” at the table of the Father.

FOOD PREP / KITCHEN CREW
For any who took the course and received a certificate,
please forward a copy to the parish office. We are now
putting out the call to anyone who would like to be part
of this team - including those who don’t have a
certificate. As a volunteer, you may want to come out
only once or twice a year and others more often
depending on availability or type of event. Kindly let
the office know when you sign up. This info will be
helpful to us so we know when we can call.
OCTOBER IS EXTRAORDINARY
MISSIONARY MONTH
This year, World Mission Sunday is on October 20.
This is a worldwide collection for the missionary
Church that offers emergency aid when disaster strikes,
cares for refugees in war-torn countries, provides rural
health clinics and transportation for priests, catechists,
religious and lay pastoral workers. It offers financial
support for the daily needs of all missionaries. Please
pray for the missions and be generous on World
Mission Sunday.

PURCHASE
The ladies have once again gotten together
to make a secret family Pierogi recipe
passed down through the generations! Perogies will be
available for purchase at the Friday night bingo and any
remaining will be for sale at the parish breakfast this
weekend. $10.00 per dozen. Limited quantities
available.
DIOCESAN ANNIVERSARY MASS
Married couples celebrating a 25th, 40th, 50th or 60th
anniversary in the year 2019 are invited to the
diocesan anniversary Mass, Monday November 25,
2019, 5:30p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Catherine of
Alexandria, St. Catharines. To register and receive a
formal invitation from Bishop Bergie, contact the parish
office to fill in a form by October 18.
REGENERATE(D) 2019
As a baptized Catholic you have a calling (or vocation)
in life. On Saturday, November 23 join Branches
Catholic Ministries at the Scotiabank Convention
Centre for Regenerate(d) 2019: "You are Called."
Keynote speakers such as Jackie Francois, Matthew
Leonard, and others will address the responsibility each
of us has to discern and heed our call. Regenerate(d)
Youth will run simultaneously for ages 12 to 18. For

A special Mass of Remembrance for
our loved ones who have died during this
past year on Saturday November 2nd,
