I. OBJECTIVE
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:

“LOGO QUIZ”
Mechanics: The class will be divided into 2 groups, the logo will be seen on the screen and they will try
to guess what does the logo stands for and first group to collect a total point of 10 will be the winner.
2.) REVIEW
What is sentence?
What are the parts of a sentence?
C. ACTIVITY
“ Sentence Scheme”
Mechanics: The students will be divided into 2, each group will be given a pieces of
paper with words written on them. They will be asked to arrange the words in order to make a
sentence.
D. ANALYSIS
1.) What are the punctuations to be used in the different types of sentences?
2.) What are the sentences that are applicable to use in academic writting?
3.) How can you differentiate each type of sentences?
4.) Which among the type of the sentence you often used?
5.) Why is it important to know the different types of the sentences?
E. ABSTRACTION
Declarative Sentences- declaration of what they are thinking, just stating a facts and expression
of an opinion. Most commonly used sentence type . This one ends with a period (.)
For Example:
Research on the topic suggests that grammar is essential to success.
You are gorgeously beautiful.
I like it when someone shows care for you.
Interrogative Sentences- These sentences ask questions. This also shows an expression of
uncertainty and confusion. Accordingly ends with a queation mark (?)
For Example:
Did you already found someone to tail your heart for the rest of your life?
Exclamatory Sentences- These sentences express extreme emotions such as anger. Not
common in academic writting, only used to convey a strong feeling and emotion. Ends with the
exclamation mark (!)
For Example:
Oh no, im bleeding!
Ouch, my heart!
Imperative Sentences- These sentences give command or make request. Mostly used when you
are about to ask someone to do something by ordering them to do so. This type of sentence also
ends with a (.)
For Example:
Group Activity: Make a short presentation depicting different situations. Make sure to use all types of
sentences
IV. ASSESSMENT
Directions: Read each sentence carefully and identify their function. Write DC if declarative, INC if it
is interrogative, IMC if it is imperative and EC if it is exclamatory.
V. ASSIGNMENT
Write ashort narrative about your most unforgettable experience. Use atleast 4 declarative,
4 imperative, 4 exclamatory and 4 interrogative sentences.
