What is Australian Immigration all about?
You can immigrate to Australia in many ways but here, we will discuss only the major 3 ways
to immigrate to Australia and they are:
Skilled Independent Visa: A Skilled Independent Visa, as the name suggests is for people who
are skilled and fall under the occupations specified in the Skilled Occupation List (SOL)
prescribed by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP).
Skilled Nominated Visa: A Skilled Nominated Visa, as the name suggests is for people who
are skilled and fall under the occupations specified in the Consolidated Skilled Occupation List
(CSOL) prescribed by the DIBP.
Skilled Regional Visa: A Skilled Regional Visa, as the name suggests is for people who are
skilled and fall under the occupations specified in the Consolidated Skilled Occupation List
(CSOL) prescribed by the DIBP.
Eligibility Criteria: The question that crops up in the mind now is – “Am I eligible for Australian
Immigration”? To check if you actually eligible for Australian Permanent Residency (Which
can be either Skilled Independent Visa or Skilled Nominated Visa), the following are the basic
questions you need to answer:
- Are you between the age limit of 18 to 44 years?
- Are you a Skilled Professional or a Tradesperson?
- Do you have Graduation or a Diploma?
- Your ability to communicate well in English Language?
- Do you have at least 1 year of Work Experience (depending on the Skill Assessment)?
Do you have Australian Experience (Min 1 year) or Australia Education (Min 2 yrs)?
If your answer is in the positive for all the above questions then you have a good chance to
qualify for Australian Immigration
What are the steps in Australian Immigration?
Skill Assessment: The first step in Australian Immigration is to get your education and
experience assessment through an Assessment Body prescribed by the Australian
Immigration. The Assessment charges can vary between 200 AUD to 1600 AUD, depending
on the Assessment Authority. The timelines can vary from 1 month to 4 months depending
on the Skill Assessment Authority.
Expression of Interest (EOI): On receipt of positive skills assessment and other requirements,
you need to submit the Expression of Interest. There is no charge for the EOI. However, In
case you are applying for Sub Class 190/489, then the concerned state or territory may charge
about 0 AUD to 300 AUD. The time lines can vary from 1 month – 6 months (or extend further
as well). The EOI, by itself is valid for 2 years
Visa Application: On receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA), you need to apply for the Visa. The
cost is 3600 AUD for Primary Applicant, 1800 AUD for the Spouse and 900 AUD per child. The
time lines can vary from 2 months to 4 months, on submission of Visa Application.

If you need to check if you meet the current minimum points i.e. 60 Points for Australia, you
can quickly get back to us for evaluating your profile and we will get it done in a matter of 24

Analyzing your Profile?
So, you are done with the eligibility check? Now, leave it in our hands to check the details and
let you know where you stand. If you have scored about 60 points or more then you can rest
assured that your visa application is not that difficult/complex if you are able to meet all the
documents requirement. Suppose you have scored less than the minimum required points
then we will suggest if there are ways to increase or enhance your points. You do not have to
conclude that you no longer qualify because some times, based on certain criteria, you will
qualify at a later point of time as well.
