B. TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
1. Introduction Nowadays people intend to start a new business because of
low income. Many are interested to raise farm animal that can
produce goods and can be used as a source of income.
Livestock and poultry can be a source of milk, meat, eggs or
fibre. But people should keep in mind that livestock and
poultry production is not as simple as growing fruits and
vegetables. It needs right process on how to raise farm animals
and reliable information about poultry and livestock. The
livestock and poultry production play very important
economic, social and cultural roles or functions for rural
households once it contributes to improve income.
The report pointed to statistics showing that the livestock
and poultry industry has been consistently contributing
positively to the economy even with less support from the
government compared to other agricultural commodities. More
government attention to the Philippine livestock and poultry
industry will be a big help to smallholder farmers and micro,
small and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs), and will boost
the sector’s export potentials, according to a new report from a
state-run think tank.
Amid a slowly decreasing trend in the production value of
agriculture, the livestock and poultry subsector “presents a
glimmer of light in local agriculture,” projected to
continuously grow in the next decades, said the report, titled
“Review of High-Value Agriculture in the Philippines with
Comprehensive Subsectoral Focus: Livestock Industries.”
Developing a web based system can be also a big help to
the smallholder farmers and others who’s interested in
livestock and poultry production. It provides video tutorials
and pictures with a reliable information on how to raise poultry
and livestock. It also promotes decision making for the people
on how the business can be profitable by using the goods
produce by the animals such as milk, meat, eggs and fibre.
1.1. Objectives of the The general objectives of the study is to develop a web

Specifically, the study aims to:

1. design and develop a web based system that using a
web development platform that is capable of:

a. providing registration and log in system for users;

b. providing video tutorials about livestock and
poultry production;
c. providing knowledge for those who want to build
their own production;

2. To undertake feasibility study and market survey to

investigate opportunities in the district or country
before establishing a poultry and livestock enterprise
and to prepare a business plan.
 3. to learn about all aspects of raising poultry for meat and
eggs, then to develop a business plan which will show
if people can make money out of a poultry farming
enterprise operation in the country or region under the
present conditions.
4. Significance of This study supports smallholder farmers and those who wants to
