We are happy that you are interested in working for Amazon and excited to take the next
steps with you. Amazon values its employees and makes every effort to provide a positive
working environment. To that end, the company asks each of its employees to participate
in a pre-employment background check process. Your active participation is a key aspect
of completing the background check process successfully. You’ll be asked to obtain and
provide to Amazon documentation and participate in the background check process, as
described below.

We are glad to assist you in this process. Please contact your recruiter or HR representative
should you have any questions or require support.

Background
Check Consent

Attached to this document is a consent form. You are asked to sign and return it to your
recruiter/HR representative.

Employment and Education Verification

The next step in the process is verification of employment history for the last 10 years (up to
3 employers). You may also be asked to provide information to verify your education.

What am I required to do to complete the employment and education verification?

You will need to submit your employment and education history to Amazon’s background check
vendor, Accurate Background. You will receive an e-mail from Accurate Background. This e-mail will
include a link and unique username and password that you will use to log in to the Accurate
Background online portal. After logging in, you will be asked to provide your employment and
education history. Provide complete and accurate information.

What if I am unable to log in to the Accurate Background system?

Email or call Accurate Background directly for login issues:

What information about my previous employment do I need to provide?

Please have the following information ready for each employer: company name, supervisor, phone
number, address, dates employed, position, salary, reason for leaving, and whether or not your
current employer may be contacted.

If I am currently employed, can I opt out of employment verification?

If you are currently employed, you may defer verification of your current employer until after you
receive an offer of employment. Be sure to indicate “do not contact my current employer” on the
Accurate Background online form. Note: if you have transferred from one position to another within
your current company or been rehired, list the company only once in the system. If you list your
current employer twice, they will be contacted.

What if one of my previous employers is out of business or I do not have their

contact information?

It is important to list all requested employers on the background check form. If the company is out
of business, note this on the form. If you are not able to locate all of the employer’s contact
information, list all information you have even if it is incomplete. Your recruiter may ask you to
provide an employment contract or other proof of employment to assist with the verification
process. What information about my educational history do I need to provide?

Education verification is only required for specific positions. Please have the following information
ready for the educational institution where you completed your highest level of education: university or
institution name, dates attended, address, whether you graduated, graduation date, degree earned,
and major course of study. Note: Do not indicate that you have graduated unless you have confirmed
that your degree has been posted.

What if I am currently enrolled in university, have outstanding fees or other obligations,

am working on my thesis/dissertation, or haven’t received my diploma?

Amazon verifies the highest level of education completed. If you do not have a diploma in your
possession, contact your university or institution before completing the background check form to
confirm your educational status. If you indicate that you have a degree on the background check form
and it has not yet been posted (even if you have met all the requirements in order to graduate) or you
haven’t completed the program of study, your opportunity for employment at Amazon will be affected.
If you are a current student, haven’t completed the course of study, or have other outstanding
obligations that are preventing you from graduating or having your degree posted, list the highest
level of education completed and for which you have a diploma.

Purpose of processing
Amazon (as defined in the EU Candidate Privacy
Notice at https://www.amazon.jobs/en/privacy/eu, in the
following also referenced to as “we”, “us” and “our”) is
committed to maintaining a safe and secure
environment for all employees and customers. To the
extent that it is proportionate and necessary for each
job, Amazon performs a background check during your
application process. The check is required to determine
your suitability for the position with the hiring Amazon
company for which you are being considered.
With this document we would like to inform you about
our background check procedure and the personal
data which we process during the background check.
Some elements of the background check may require
Amazon to request information or documents from a
third party, e.g. an authority or your former employer. In
most cases, Amazon will only be provided with the
requested information if you agree to the disclosure of
such information to Amazon. With this document we
also seek your consent to the disclosure of such
documents and information to Amazon as further
explained below.
Categories of personal data
Amazon’s background check comprises the following
categories of personal data, as applicable to the job for
which you have applied:
1. a check of a terrorist and sanctions list;

Verificarea prealabila este necesara pentru a
determina cat de potrivit sunteti pentru postul din
cadrul companiei angajatoare Amazon pentru care
sunteti luat in vedere.
Prin acest document dorim sa va informam in legatura
cu procedura verificarilor prealabile si datele cu
caracter personal pe care le prelucram in timpul
acestora. Anumite elemente ale verificarilor prealabile
ar putea impune ca Amazon sa solicite informatii sau
documente din partea unei terte persoane, de
exemplu o autoritate sau fostul angajator. In
majoritatea cazurilor, informatiile solicitate vor fi
furnizate catre Amazon numai in cazul in care sunteti

Categorii de date cu caracter personal
Verificarile prealabile ale Amazon cuprind urmatoarele

1. verificarea unor liste de terorism si de
sanctiuni;
 2. a check of and/or obtaining a copy of your
educational credentials;
3. a check of your past employment history and
possible reference checks with former
employers;
4. a check of any licenses that you hold that are
applicable to the job for which you are
applying, e.g. driver’s license, business and
professional license; and
5. a check of your criminal record, where
permitted by local law.
Processing of your personal data is required for
Amazon to maintain a safe and secure environment for
all of our employees and customers and in order to
enter into a contract of employment with you.
Any omissions or misrepresentations made by you in
the background check process or any other
documentation submitted in support of your job
application, including a resume, may be brought to your
attention and in the absence of a satisfactory
explanation may be a cause for dismissal, revocation
or extension of any employment offer or termination of
employment, if already employed.
Recipients and transfer of personal data
Accurate Background, LLC. in Irvine, California, United
States (“Accurate Background”) is a third-party service
provider engaged to conduct and assist on the
background checks described above on Amazon’s
behalf. Your information will therefore be transferred to
and accessed by Accurate Background in the United
States.
Your information will also be transferred to the following
Shared Services in the Amazon Group:
1. Review of your background check information
is carried out by HR Services at Amazon
Czech Republic Services s.r.o., Prague, Czech
Republic.
2. Storage, processing and audit may be carried
out from time to time by the Background Check
Team at Amazon.com, Seattle, Washington,
United States.
Transfers are, when relevant, based on EU Standard
Contractual Clauses to ensure appropriate safeguards
are in place to protect your personal data. Please
contact us if you have any questions on the transfer
mechanisms set out above.

sigur si securizat pentru toti angajatii si clientii nostri
si pentru a incheia un contract de munca cu dvs.
Orice omisiuni sau declaratii false realizate de catre
dvs in cadrul verificarilor prealabile sau in orice alta
documentatie trimisa in sprijinul candidaturii dvs,
inclusiv in CV, va pot fi aduse la cunostinta si in lipsa
unei explicatii satisfacatoare ar putea fi un motiv de
concediere, revocare a oricarei oferte de angajare
sau de incetare a angajarii, in cazul in care aceasta
deja s-a incheiat.
Destinatarii si transferul datelor cu caracter
personal
Accurate Background, LLC. din Irvine, California,
Statele Unite, (“Accurate Background”) este o terta
parte, furnizor de servicii, angajata sa efectueze si sa
asiste la verificarile prealabile descrise mai sus in
numele Amazon. Informatiile dvs vor fi, prin urmare,
transferate si accesate de catre Accurate Background
din Statele Unite.
Informatiile dvs vor fi de asemenea, transferate catre
urmatoarele Servicii Partajate din cadrul Grupului
Amazon:

Retention
We will delete any document provided in the course of
the background check process no later than three
months after completion of the process.
Your rights as data subject
You have the right to request access to correction or
deletion of your personal data, to ask for data
portability, as well as – depending on the laws of your
country - to define instructions on your personal data
after your death. You are also entitled to object to the
processing of your personal data in certain

CONSENT
By printing my name and adding my signature
below, I explicitly consent to the disclosure of
information and personal data to Amazon and the

background checks listed at 1 – 5 above and I
acknowledge that I have been notified that this
information may be transferred outside of the
country in which it was collected, to countries that
may have different laws protecting personally
identifiable data.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by

your consent to the disclosure of information (including

Prin printarea numelui meu si adaugarea
