Content: Interactions in the Atmosphere

Grade Level: Grade 7


Time Allotment: 60 Minutes
I. OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standard:
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the different
phenomena that occur in the atmosphere.

B. Performance Standard:
The learners shall be able to analyze the advantage of the location
of the Philippines in relation to the climate, weather, and seasons.
C. Learning Competencies:
Characterize the layers of the earth atmosphere. SSP_S7ES-IVd

D. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to:
1. Identify each part of the atmosphere;
2. appreciate the importance of each layers of the atmosphere to
preserve the life on earth; and
3. Illustrate the layers of the atmosphere.

Preliminary Activities (5 min)

ELICIT (5 min)
The teacher will show jumbled letters of the following: Paper Strips

Questions will be asked:
1. What are the following words all about?
2. What is Atmosphere?
ENGAGE (10min)
After answering the jumbled letters arrange the following layers in Blank Chart
an increasing altitude.
Questions will be asked:
1. At what altitude can each of the layers of atmosphere be found?
2. Which layer of atmosphere has a lowest altitude?
3. Which layer of atmosphere has a highest altitude?
EXPLORE (20 min)
(GROUP ACTIVITY) Work Sheet
1. The students will be group by six and they will be performing an
activity.
2. The answers will be written on the work sheet provided by the
teacher.
EXPLAIN (10 min)
1. The teacher will call at least two groups, and encourage them to
explain and share the concepts they’ve come up on their output to
the class.
2. The teacher will give feedback and supporting details to
supplement their knowledge.
ELABORATE (10 min)
Through the use of chart, the teacher will explain the following: Layers of the
