Instructions to Candidates

1. This paper has 2 pages and 1 question.

2. You are required to answer all questions.
3. All drawings must be done using AutoCAD. Please ensure that a copy of your drawing is
retained by the invigilator before leaving the exam room.
4. This is an OPEN BOOK examination. The use of lecture notes and notebook computers is
allowed.

For the part shown in Figure 1 draw the standard third angle views. Position views in a standard
metric drawing sheet.

From the views shown in Figure 2, create an isometric drawing of the part, Use a scrap section to
display the bottom elements. Enclose drawing in a standard metric drawing sheet.

Question 3 (40 marks)

Figure 3 shows a bearing puller. Create an assembly drawing showing a sectional view through a
central plane, with part callouts and a Bill of Materials.
