Dear Participants,

Greetings from Cineastes – The Movie SIG of IIM Nagpur!!!

For the short film competition “CineMaestro”, we will be following some rules and regulation.
These rules and regulations are listed below:

 The theme of this year’s CineMaestro is "The General Election 2019".


 The film can be about anything related to elections including Political Humour.
 The maximum length of the short film be 10 minutes
 Deadline for Submissions is 04th March 2019 23:59 hrs.
 25% weightage would be given to the number of like your short film receives on the
Cineastes’ Facebook page. The rest will be judged by a panel.
 Judging will be based on the content/script, creativity, acting, directing and alignment
to the theme
 The decision of the judge will be final and binding.
 There is no restriction on the use of Language, but in case the medium is not in Hindi,
or English subtitles are a must.
 Entry and participation imply unconditional acceptance of these terms and
regulations.
 In case of any issues/disputes, the decision was taken by Cineastes - The Movie
SIG of IIM Nagpur will be final.

Before we start with the quiz, let us run you through the basic rules.

Rules :

1) The quiz will consist of 25 questions and will have a duration of 15 minutes
2) We will accept only 1 submission of the Google form per team (from the team
leader's email id)
3) Multiple submissions from a team will lead to disqualification
4) The password for the quiz will be shared on our Facebook page at 23:00:00 sharp

5) Choose the correct answer in the MCQs. For the Type In The Answers, if there are
multiple answers, use commas.
6) Quiz Timings - 11:00 PM to 11:15 PM
Please note :
a) Google form will stop accepting answers post 11:15 PM
b) All questions carry equal weightage.

An individual can send in multiple entries

The deadline for submission of the film is 23:59:59, 17th February 2019

The maximum time limit of the film is 5-10 minutes excluding the beginning and end
credits

There is no restriction on number of members in a team


 There should only one submission by each team
 Multiple entries from the same college are allowed.
 There is no restriction on the use of Language but in case the medium is not in Hindi
or English; subtitles are must
 We are averse to any form of Oral, Verbal, or Pictorial Vulgarity. However, creative
freedom is appreciated
 Entries must be the original work of the participants; it must not infringe third-party's
rights; and should be ethically and culturally suitable for the local viewers
 It should not target any person, company, organization or entity
 It must not invade privacy or other rights of any person, company or entity and may not
contain any copyrighted elements
 There is no limit on number of actors or restriction on the usage of props
 To be eligible, entries must be the original work of the Entrant; must not infringe third-
party's rights;
must be suitable for publication and should be ethically and culturally suitable for the
local viewers;
must not contain obscene or pornographic material;
may not contain defamatory statements about any person, company, organization or
entity;
may not invade privacy or other rights of any person, company or entity and may not
contain any copyrighted elements.
 The movie should stick to the theme.
 The decision of the judge will be final and binding.

 Films which have secured prizes previously in any other festival will not be considered
for this contest. If found later, will be disqualified for the contest/prize withheld
 6. FORMAT: The films may be shot in MPEG4 or AVI format. The recommended
ratios are: 16:9 / 16:9 Full Height Anamorphic – in DV / HDV
 RIGHT TO SCREEN: The participants grant the Organizers (X-LENS, Photography
Committee of XUB) the non-exclusive rights to screen (non – commercial) their film /
entry on their respective websites, at the festival and other associated screenings.
 COPYRIGHT: The Film must not contain any copyrighted work(s) belonging to third
parties unless (1) Participants have a license to use such works in the Film; or (2) the
use participants’ Film makes of such works is a fair one under the copyright laws.
Participants will retain any licenses and provide them to organizers upon request.
 9. The decision of the jury shall be final, unquestionable and binding on all participants.
 Once submitted, the entries cannot be withdrawn for any reason whatsoever.
 The organizers reserve the right to modify the terms and conditions of the contest
without any intimation to the participants at any time after the launch of the contest.
 o Entry and participation of films implies unconditional acceptance of these terms and
regulations.
 IIM Rohtak reserves the right to refuse any submission deemed to be inappropriate
 : One team can only make one submission for the competition.
 If music or additional film material used in your film is not original, then the original
source should be cited in the credits.

 10: The video entries will be judged on the basis of maximum likes on facebook
 11: The members have to send the entries to the above-mentioned email address
 The film can be submitted in avi., mkv., or mp4 format
 The submission of a film to GIMFF will be considered to be an acknowledgement of
the festival rules.
 Applicants are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary rights and permissions for
third-party materials included in their films, including but not limited to music,
trademarks, logos, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights
