ACTIVITY: CREATE A DNA PAPER MODEL

OBJECTIVE
 DNA contains the information for carrying out all of the activities of a cell. In this
activity, the students will be able to determine the structure of DNA and show how the
genetic code is carried.

READ AND STRICTLY FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS:

1. This a group work (refer to your Gen. Bio 1 Lab group)

2. Create a DNA Paper Model with all the chemical components of DNA.

3. The length of the DNA should be AT LEAST 12 inches and the width should be AT LEAST
6 inches.

4. The number of nitrogenous bases should be AT LEAST 16.

5. Use recycled paper ONLY for the materials.

6. Use LEGEND to label the components.

7. Use 2D representation ONLY.

8. Paste your output on a 1/8 illustration board.

9. The chemical components of the DNA presented should be distinct and clear.

10. Write your section, group number, complete name of the members and date of
submission on the illustration.

11. Print and fill out the rubric form. Submit the rubric form on the said deadline. Compile
the rubric forms in a long brown envelope. ONE (1) long brown envelope ONLY for the
WHOLE CLASS. Five points deduction from the total scores for NO RUBRIC FORM.

12. Deadline of submission is on OCTOBER 4, 2019 (until 4pm only).
