Those who are involved as a Mechanical engineer and Piping engineer, follow the
given guidelines as follows:
1. While preparing G.A. and detail engineering/fabrication drawings, all
relevant details like support / saddle / lifting lugs / name plate and weld joints must be completed at a time. 2. For preparing ISO drawing, all relevant details like design data (design pressure, design temperature, operating pressure, operating temperature, extent of RT, test pressure, code of construction), all parts material specification with quantity shall be provided for further operation. 3. Main drawing (GA) shall be drawn with reduced scale and other part drawings may be not to scale (NTS). 4. In title block, designed (DGN), drawn (DRN), checked (CHD), approved (APPD) columns to be filled with names. 5. In revision status, revisions of GA drawings to be marked with brief description with revision and zone numbers. 6. The above engineers should not send fabrication drawings to customer / TPI/ or for wetting without proper checking and drawing number with proper revision number and date. Also avoid hold points to the extent possible. 7. If you follow the above guidelines properly and sincerely, we can avoid nasty comments received by TPI and shop mistakes drastically. 8. While procuring raw materials, firstly avoid by phone orders. Follow systematic manner, prepare proper document for procurement and ask vendor to supply the material exactly as per specification. 9. After receiving this information, no drawing should be submitted without my approval. If any doubts / clarifications and any other, contact VRCH REDDY (+91 9704985137). 10.For instant giving data for procurement, a weld neck flange as per specification should have: i. Type of flange (WN, S.O.) ii. Size of flange (6” NPS, 150 DN) iii. Rating class ( 150,300,600,900..etc) iv. Material specification (CS/SS) v. Dimensional standard ( ANSI B16.5 or others) vi. SCH No.(thickness) vii. Bore if required viii. Face of the flange (RF/FF) ix. Gasket grooves (Tongue/RTJ/ Hexagonal/ Octagonal) x. H.T. condition (Normalized with temperature) xi. Surface finish (3.2 or 6.3 µm)
If you follow above we can avoid mismatch with our required specification.
