A Memorable Day in My Life:

My First Day at School

Life is full of various events and experiences. But all of these are not equally

important, enjoyable and memorable. Some are memorable.

It was 19years ago when I was a grade 1 student, there are some memorable

days and they remain evergreen in my heart. My first day at school is such a

day. My mother proposed that I should be admitted a school in class one the

next day. I felt very excited. I could not think of anything else nor even sleep well

that night. The next morning my mother woke me early in the morning so that

we can prepare all the chores before going to school. When I stepped inside

the school compound with my mother, I was somewhat afraid and saw many

students on the school campus. Finding me in a new environment my heart

began to beat. At first, my mother took me to the headmaster’s room and

requested her (teacher) to admit me in class one. I felt a bit nervous and shy,

but her smiling face and gentle eyes put me at ease. She asked me my name

and I answered her automatically.

I could say them all because my mother taught me, how to introduce yourself

properly. Then she became very pleased with me and admitted to me in class
one, she welcomed me and gave me a seat. All the students in the class were

staring at me. Ann all of a sudden I asked myself: Did I do something wrong? Or

Am a different person? However, soon I became very easy. In the leisure period,

all of my classmates started playing in the field. I felt very lonely and was

loitering here and there. But then again they started invited me to join them.

When I started playing, I felt like a free bird flying in the open sky. And I found

out that all of my classmates especially teachers were careful, friendly and

helpful.

Today, I can no longer be a lonely person. I met a lot of friends that grew up

with and would share the happiness and sadness one might have. Having a lot

of friends has made me into a better person I am today. They taught me how to

trust people, how to resolve my problems, and how to open up and express my

feelings. It took many painful years to discover my self-worth that allowed me to

develop the necessary confidence for being a strong and independent

woman.
My Mother

Everyone has different attitudes towards relatives, but perhaps, mothers have a

significant role for everyone. Isn’t it so for you? Look at what you can say about

your mom!

Without any doubt, my mother is the most important person in my life and the

most powerful individual I know. For me, she is the most beautiful and has the

kindest eyes that I have ever seen. She is not only worked hard to ensure herself

but also for us to live a comfortable lives. Sometimes she was very strict and

often punished me whenever I went wrong. Even though I did not like the

punishment that she gave me like she doesn’t want me to go outside or to be

with my friends but then again I now looked back and realize that it was meant

to lovingly correct me and help me to follow the right path when growing up.

One of the reasons that I and my siblings were especially fond of my mother is

the way she used to take great care of us, especially when we were ill. She is

very knowledgeable lady who made a variety of home remedies to help take

care of the minor illnesses that we had as children. My siblings and I did not like

to see our mother sad and would do just anything to bring a smile to her face.

Interestingly, even when she was very worried or sad about something she
would always smile to make us stop worrying about her. My mother not only

loved those around her but was also compassionate.

Just because she’s your mom and she’s going to have you forever, no

matter what, you can’t treat her just any old way and think it doesn’t matter.

Don’t treat the person who loves you the most to the worst. Don’t take her for

granted. She may not let you see it, but your shortness, impatience and harsh

words make her steal away to a quiet place and cry. Her heart hurts to

understand why you seem angry with her. She will not always agree with you,

but she will always love you. And it doesn’t matter how old you are, or how old

she is, treasure your mom. You’ll never have another one.
