Project overview: Airtel network Swap for 2G and 3G of Ericsson and Hauawi to Nokia SRAN
solution, integration of 4G sites.
Project Time: April 2017 to March 2018
Achievements:
500 swapped sites, 180 LTE newly integrated site, 16 clusters.
Airtel STAR recognition for individual high performance.
Technologies: 2G/4G Nokia.
Project activities and experience in bullets:
2G Nokia Swap, 4G new sites integration – Airtel Malawi.
Perform 2G/4G radio planning and optimization activities.

 Daily monitoring, customer complaint, 3G peneteration exercise, bi-weekly audits,
utilizations reports, WCL analysis, new sites handling, event handling and applying
high capacity actions to ensure no congestion.

(july 2014 to June 2015)
Project overview: check field measurements using TI,TD and take/recommend
physical/parametric actions accordingly, problems analysis and take actions/monitoring –
global and cell level optimization actions. 3G continouinty – 3rd carrier continunity - Pilot
pollution - missing NBRs – IRAT reasons analysis - congestion problems - SD/TCH
BLK/fails/drops-HOSR failures-main roads retainablility and accessability enhance project to
deliver them with no failures or dropped calls in 2G 3G systems – creating configraion files of
all actions .
Achievements: achieving the target of 14/15 year roads with zero dropped call.
(Extra mile)Periodically audit over Cairo subregions over the most repetitive sympotems to
enhance the KPIs globally.
Technologies Used: 2G/3G Ericsson OSS, Hawaui platform, TI, TD, Atoll and Business objects.
Performance monitoring for the important clusters during bairam
feast 2014 (2G/3G) – upper Egypt region
Project overview: monitoring 2G/3G KPIs over important and touristic areas in upper Egypt
region – during bairam feast events – Hawuai platform – degratdations due to the traffic
increase – find the root cause of the degradation if others – taking soft actions – send
problems to responsible team to take the appropriate actions – keep area spoc updated with
latest status(KPIs hourly – actions).
Achievements: KPIs over that area were kept withen accepted level during the high congestion
and increased traffic – that because all degradations were handled faster .
Technologies Used: OSS 2G/3G Hauewi(PRS-M2000).

RAN Nodes Acceptance (2G/3G), Vodafone-UK

Project overview: ensuring the RAN KPIs performance for 250 nodes (BSCs & RNCs) over multi-
vendors (Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson & ALU) after a complete CS core evolution from legacy
Ericsson MSc to 8 blade cluster.
Role: supporting in 2G/3G Ericsson-Nokia-Hauawi RAN nodes acceptance after migration.
Providing first level optimization for affected nodes.
Achievements: standardizing acceptance KPIs for all 4 vendors on 2G and 3G technologies.

3rd carrier and U900 optimiation service – Alex Region ( April 2016
– July 2016)
Project overview: providing Alex optimization team with needed multicarrier strategy ensuring
traffic balance and excellenct coverage – preparing Utiilization studies for 2G and 3G to
determine the needed H.W. for the new carriers – interfacing with rollout, implementation to
install H.W. based on needed configrations regarding Power,CE, etc – creating the new cells for
the new carriers with baseline parameters – NBRs, SC and other parameters optimization –
optimization actions for all deteriorated KPIs –
Traffic balance bet. carriers – cell/site/cluster.
Role: capacity dimensioning – optimization cell/site/cluster level – prepare acceptance
reports for cluster delivery.
Achievements: Multicarrier strategy – capacity study – 1 cluster have been integrated.

New site integration and acceptance – Delta Region ( April 2016 –

July 2016)
Project overview: 2G/3G new sites integration and acceptance including DT
analysis,NBRs ceartions, physical and soft actions – provide a 2 resources
with the technical lead in optimization actions.
Role: integration, creation, activation and optimization for 2G,3G E/// sites.
Achievements:delivery of backlog sites after more than 6 to 1 year delay in achieving KPIs.

Project overview: maintaining and improving the area 2G and 3G KPIs performance through
different optimization actions – area owner for very important areas like Mouhandessen -
Troubleshoot for problematic cells and sites - Analyze CS, PS and HSDPA performance and
implement corrective actions - Customer complaints handling - Analyze drive tests after global
audit / trials / features - Improving main area KPIs (R99/HSPA) via global area actions –
target configuration for 2G/3G Ericsson sites in my area - Perform parameter changes trials for
network performance enhancement - Perform regular audits on DB configurations, clearing any
relevant inconsistencies - Coaching engineers in the team and providing technical
demonstrations – 3G penetration project – Coverage project – 2G<>3G reslection
enhancement project – Cross sector and H.W. fixing project ,
