Normal shutdown of boiler

1. Receive boiler shutdown order from shift leader. And purpose, time and mode of stopping should
be explained. Contact related post to do preparation before boiler shutdown.
2. After shutdown operation order is issued by shift leader, inform chemical, conveying, ash
removal, I&C operators of estimated shutdown time and carry out preparation before shutdown
3. Make a thorough inspection of the unit equipment before shutdown. Upload the found
equipment defects to the Internet and record them in the relevant notebook in order to prepare
the maintenance team to eliminate the defects.
4. Soot blowing should be carried out thoroughly at the tail flue duct of the boiler before stopping.
5. Fuel system should be inspected before shutdown. Test each oil gun burner and put them into
standby.
6. Make clear the situation of coal storage and powder storage in raw coal bunker and limestone
bunker, so as to determine the final shutdown time.
7. Verify the drum water level carefully and master the correctness of the water level indicator.

1. If estimated shutdown time of boiler is more than 7 days, during sliding parameter shutdown,
limestone buffer bunkers and raw coal bunkers should be emptied as far as possible.
2. If estimated shutdown time of boiler is more than 5 days, When the furnace bed temperature
drops to the required value after the boiler shutdown, the bed material in the furnace and slag
cooler should be discharged completely.
3. During the boiler shutdown, the boiler maintenance personnel should be contacted to check the
pressure components of the boiler one by one and do the corresponding servicing work.
4. Normally, the furnace is shut down by sliding parameters. The cooling rate, pressure reduction
rate and good hydrodynamic condition of the boiler should be strictly controlled. In special
cases, the Chief Engineer determines the stopping mode.
Preparations before shutdown:

1. After shift leader receives shutdown order, inform main operator to operate following slide
parameter mode and requirement. Inform related cautions of boiler; Inform turbine,
chemical, electrical, fuel, I&C department, etc to do their own preparation.
2. According to estimated slide parameter shutdown time, inform fuel operator control or stop
coal feed to raw coal bunker and stop limestone feeding to buffer power bunker advance. In
order to determine the final stop time, the main operator of the boiler operation should
know the coal storage situation of the original coal bunker and the ash storage situation of
the limestone powder bunker in time.
3. Notify all positions to conduct a comprehensive inspection of their equipment. The
equipment defect items are recorded in the "equipment defect record book" in detail and
accurately for maintenance after stopping the furnace.
4. Notify the boiler maintenance personnel to carry out steam release test on the boiler safety
valve one by one before stopping the boiler.
5. When the boiler load is more than 80%B MCR, a full steam soot blowing is applied to the
heating surface of the boiler tail flue duct.
6. Ensure boiler fuel system is in standby and steam purging system is normal. Confirm oil
pressure is 3.2MPa. Under-bed ignition burners and duct burners are reliable.
