Automobile Seat Frame Robot Welding Station

The automobile seat skeleton robot welding station places robot and welding
system on the inside, and the double station positioner on the robot side. It
not only ensures safety of the system, but also affects the use of entire
welding system. Each station consists of fixtures and a flipping table.
Workpiece can be welded at any angle of 360 degrees. And workpiece is
always in the best welding position. This greatly improves welding efficiency
and effect. Double-station system can complete the processes of robot
welding, disassembly and clamping at the same time. It enables the robot to
achieve high-quality welding of workpiece. Welding quality and production
efficiency of the robot are hugely improved.

Industry Background

Workpiece mainly includes main frame, horizontal pipe, vertical pipe, spring
hook, nut and spring and other 17 pieces.Onlythe spring is hung on the skeleton
after stretching.The rest of main skeleton parts are made by spot welding or arc
welding.

In actual arc welding process, welding conditions often change, such as

machining and assembly errors will cause changes in the position and size of the
weld. Alsowelding process of workpiece heat and heat dissipation conditions
change will cause weld deformation and uneven penetration.

In this kind of structure, the material thickness is relatively thin, usually 1.5 -
3mm, Manual welding is prone to defects such as porosity, slag inclusion,
undercut, welding nodules, arc pits, cracks, non-fusion, welding penetration, etc.
In addition, the length of the welding seam is short, usually 5-20mm. It can lead to
many welding spots and movements, prone to welding leakage and high labor
intensity.

 Process Technology
Many welding parts of automobile seats are non-

standard. It requires welding processes with high technical difficulties, such

as pipe welding, pipe plate welding, flat welding and vertical welding. The

system is designed to two-shift working system, three-shift doable. Each shift

working time is 8 hours. It guarantees 24hours continuous operation.
