A) Box Culverts:
1. With reference to drawing nos. WB/PWD/DYC/CULVERT/18, 20 & 21, the usage of steel
25mm & 30mm bar mark 3 & 4 (Drawing nos. 18 & 21) and Bar Mark 2, 3, 4 & 6 (drawing
No 20).
We suggest, without changing area of steel, may be used lower dia. rebar by reducing bar
spacing.
2. OPC Grade 43 cement conforming to IS: 8112 may be referred for M25 Grade concrete IS:
269 for OPC Grade 33, is obsolete.
3. Note 4, 5 & 11 are irrelevant.
4. Splice length (Lap in Reinforcement) in Note 6 (a) is not specific for compression and tension
zones.
5. In Load Design Calculations of all the Box Culverts considered Load per unit area for two
tracks instead of Load per unit area for Single track.
1. With reference to the drawing nos. WB/PWD/DYC/CULVERT/01 to 17, shown stone pitching
on raft to the invert level of the culvert.
We suggested sandy soil filling with top 300mm crushed stone pitching with PCC M15 void
filling (Sketch attached).
2. Refer the Plan & Profile Drawings. Missing locations of the Box Culvert on Service Roads
tabulated as below,
