If you eat bad and then just take supplements does it help?
What percentage of people take supplements daily?
What type of supplements should you take?
Are these supplementary companies giving us too many supplements

We know that if many people don’t get their daily amount of supplements that they need to take
supplements

speech/presentation

When you think about supplements what do you think about, probably vitamins or minerals as
supplements? If you look at the average American you can see that they lack a lot of what they need. As
a result of this, they look to supplementary vitamins and minerals to satisfy their need for the
vitamins/minerals. With that in mind, we can think about how many Americans actually take
supplements, whilst it is unclear on how many people take supplements on a daily basis we know that
more than 60% of Americans don’t get what they need on a day to day bases. We also need to think
about people that don’t need to take supplements but instead take them to increase their health, like
you might take protein or melatonin, these things are what majority of us don’t need, but take them
anyways to “make us more healthy”.

In reality though when we look at vitamin containers, a lot of them say something like “150% of your
daily dose of vitamins.” Even though this may seem healthier than getting just 100% of your daily dose
of vitamins and or minerals. Taking too many could be harmful. If you take too many vitamins C than it
could cause stomach aches, nausea, hair loss, and diarrhea.

Now that we know this is it better to get your daily dose of vitamins from supplements or is it better to
get it from natural foods.

When you look into this many doctors say that it is better to get vitamins and minerals from food, but
why is that? Well, there are many other nutrients found in foods like fruits, vegetables, fish and other
healthy foods, that are not found in supplementary pills.

If you are not getting enough of your daily intake of vitamins or minerals you should talk to your doctor
and ask him if you should be taking supplements or if you should choose to eat and live a healthier diet.

Now answering the question “has the supplement industry been positive or negative for our health.” In
Conclusion, if you can you should be getting all your recommended and daily dose of vitamins and
minerals for each day from the foods you eat. We aren’t perfect though and sometimes we can’t or
don’t have time to make a healthy nutritious meal, so we look to fast food which overdoses you on bad
things such as sodium but undercut you on things that are healthy and you need such as vitamins. In
that case, then it is better if you are to take a small dose of vitamins.

In the longer term, there are side effects of taking supplements. Be careful of what supplements you
take, how many and how much you are intaking.
