CHAPTER 4
Statement of the Problem
This study aims to give the future researchers to add some background knowledge
regarding to this issue. The information collected from this study will be used to create
more efficient readers educational programs and learning aids to help the users to
overcome any problems in using cloud computing in software as a service.
Specifically it aims to:
1. Identify the profile of the respondents in terms of

1.2 Number of years using cloud computing
2. Determine the disadvantages of IT experts in using cloud computing

as a service
3. Output. Create a short video presentation

Interviewer : Is cloud computing reliable? Why?

Interviewee : Yes, because most of the big companies nowadays use cloud computing
where they will store their application and data instead of buying their own physical
servers which consume physical space and not cost-effective due to high cost of
maintenance. The service is offered by a third party like Microsoft and Oracle and their
engineers are professionals who totally understand the importance of data
confidentiality and data security.
Interviewer : How secure is cloud computing for you?
Interviewee : For me it is 95% secure because servers are setup carefully to block and
restrict any unauthorized access from outside the network. However, there are very
good hackers out there who can possibly penetrate the host network.
Interviewer : In what way did you use cloud computing?
Interviewee : Data and application storage in the cloud. Leasing servers as well for our
lab environment.
Interviewer : What are the positive and negative experiences you have encountered in
using cloud computing?
Interviewee : Positive: I was able to use Microsoft office online suites without installing
them in my local machine. Aside from that, my teammate and I were able to access and
edit the same document simultaneously.
Negative: My updates on my document were lost as it was overridden by the other user
accessing it.
Interviewer : What is your worst experience in using cloud computing?
Interviewee : I could not access my files which I needed to present in my meeting
because they were locked by someone else in my team and he was not around to
perform the unlock.
Interviewer : What did you do to resolve the issue?
Interviewee : I called him immediately so he could unlock the files in his cell phone.
Interviewer : What did you gain in solving those troubles in cloud computing?
Interviewee : I learned to always save a back-up copy of your updated files in your hard
disk so if anything goes wrong then your data is totally safe. Then I was able to learn
also to provide write permission only to those authorized to edit the document.
Interviewer : How does cloud computing affect your daily-life situations?
Interviewee : Cloud computing makes me updated to all the latest happenings in the
world. In the office, I can easily be informed of my tasks by checking my e-mails in
outlook. It also gives me theopportunity to watch my favorite anime through video
streaming and listen to my favorite songs online. And I can simply check on the internet
what are the current on demand jobs and my do various transactions of my bank
account online.
Interviewer : Explain benefits of cloud computing?
Interviewee : You can access your data anywhere you go as long as you have your
phone and you have internet. For big companies, it is cost-effective since you no longer
need to purchase expensive physical servers and anti-virus. Increase your processing
power.

Interviewee : It makes our lives simpler today since there are lots of things that can be
done in the internet like buying the things we need in Lazada, order foods and have it
deliver to your house. No need to worry if you have big data since you can just store it in
the cloud and access it anywhere.

Interviewee: Yes , Just to imagine that Cloud computing is securing you data from fires,
flood, hurricanes and other computer meltdowns but in vulnerable in a sense that it is
handle by third-party system provider.
Interviewee: It is secured by an encryption method which utilize complex algorithms to
conceal cloud-protected information.

tailored based on client demands.

computing services provide redundant data storage patterns to increase reliability of
data integrity and reduce data loss when these services run into problems. Azure (a
cloud computer service from Microsoft), for example, enable their data to be spread in
multiple regions to increase data availability and redundancy if ever one region is
experiencing a problem.

researchers of this study can gain more knolwedge and that they can also be
informed to any circumstances that the issues may lead. The study is significant
to us because it may be a help to solve problems related to the said topic.

regarding to this issue. The information collected from this study will be used to create
more efficient readers educational programs and learning aids to help the users to
overcome any problems in using cloud computing in software as a service.

cloud computing . Determine the disadvantages of IT experts in using cloud
computing in software as a service.
This study aims to present the research design, research environmental, and
the procedures used to responds to the identified problem in the study. And
we use phenomenological study to describe how human being experienced in
using cloud computing.
And our respondent will be the IT Experts from Accenture and other
companies. We conducted a survey and some possible question for
conducting the research and requested for a formal interview. The purpose
random sampling procedure was used for choosing the participants in this
study.
