Purpose of the job: Assess, prepare & manage the preparation of engineering and
construction drawings in Revit and AutoCad packages for Civil,
Marine/Mechanical works in accordance to the project requirements
throughout all phases of project.

Key activities / Result areas

 Assessment of the project requirements, preparation & maintenance of a drawing register for the works as
applicable to ensure a planned approach to the scope and delivery requirements of the required drawings.
 Collaborate with line supervisor/clients/consultants/authorities as necessary to obtain the required
deliverable & approval of drawings.
 Ensure the drawing deliverables are clear (Drawing size, drawing titles, Revision system, no of drawings,
delivery method, etc); utilizing standard drafting practices and ensure accuracy and suitability of purpose.
 Utilize the BAM standard drawing formats & templates, ensuring that the correct logos, title boxes, pens,
fonts, dimensioning techniques etc are used to provide consistently professional drawings.
 Maintain traceability of drawings by ensuring that drawings are numbered properly, registered,
transmitted, and updated as required and ensure that latest drawings are being distributed in a timely
manner.
 Maintain a record of all drawings produced for each project in editable and pdf format, ensuring that such
drawings are organized in a traceable, retrievable and secure manner with routine backups.
 Ensure co-ordination with interfacing disciplines internally and externally in order to ensure that the
drawing produced meets the requirements/ intended purpose. Where identified, resolve problems and
deficiencies in the detailing.
 Produce two and three dimensional modeling presentations based on specific project requirements to
ensure fit for purpose visualization of the tasks at hand
 Where required, prepare material take-offs and take accurate account of all component parts required to
complete a project, indicating these clearly in tabular formats in excel or on drawings.
 Prepare revised drawings following receipt of marked up drawings from the line supervisor/ project/
client/consultant.
 Maintain common accessible documentation & records in accordance with the management system to
ensure due diligence & efficiency in the availability & security of the information.
 Identify Engineering process and system improvement opportunities. Document and help design in-house
drawing standards, and training program for future Draughtsman.
 Execute and monitor tasks as agreed in tender / project planning.

Education & Qualifications

 Diploma in Drafting/Visualisation, Diploma in Engineering, or similar is preferred


 Expert in use of AUTOCAD 2007, Revit preferred, and other software proficiency will be advantageous
 In-depth knowledge of the process for provision, development and approval of drawings.
 Knowledge when enables development of typical details & drawings for ABM scope of Works _ Jetties ,
Combi Walls, Other quay walls, Shoreline Protection, reinforcement drawings & schedules, piled
structures, structural steel, bridges
 Skill in performing mathematical computations
 Operating knowledge of 3D/visualization software with interest to develop to higher levels
