RE: Letter Request for recognition of Filipino Citizen

Dear Sir,

Warm greetings!

I am writing to your office in connection/regards to my intention to be recognized as a Filipino citizen.

I am RAMIL JAN ESPERANZA SIMBA, I am 21 years of age, single, and a citizen of United States of America.
Attached herewith as Annex “A” is a photocopy of my passport bio-page.

I acquired my US citizenship because I was born in the State of California, USA. Attached herewith is the
original copy of my Birth Certificate as Annex ___.

My father, RAMIL MICHAEL SIMBA, is a Filipino, born in the Philippines of Filipino parents when I was
born. Attached herewith is a genuine copy of my fathers’ birth certificate acquired from Philippine Statistic
Authority (PSA).

My mother on the other hand, ETHELWOLDA HERERA ESPERANZA aka JANINE HERERA ESPERANZA is a
naturalized US citizen, who was born in the Philippines and with Filipino parents. Attached also is her Birth
Certificate of my mother issued also by the PSA. A photocopy of the certification that Ethelwolda Herera
Esperanza and JANINE HERERA ESPERANZA is one and the same is likewise attached.

On April 8, 1999 my mother brought me to the Philippines to be with my father Ramil Michael Simba. My
mother supported us until I reached the age of nine, afterwards we never heard again from my mother.

We learned late, that my mother started a family with another man.

I have now reconciled with my mother and wishes to be with her this coming Christmas.

However, I learned that it would not be that easy, as I am an alien in the eyes of our law and has been
overstaying from the time I was less than a year old.

In this regard, I would like to express my intention to be recognized as a Filipino citizen and become a dual
citizen of the Republic of The Philippines and the United States of America.

Attached herewith are the following documents in support for my application for recognition as Filipino
citizen:

1. Photocopy of the my passport’s bio-page;

2. Photocopy of the my parent’s passport bio-page;
3. My Birth Certificate of the applicant;
4. Birth Certificate of my father who at the time of my birth is a Filipino citizens;
5. The affidavit of citizenship executed by my father stating that he is a Filipino citizen at the time
of my birth,
6. BI Clearance Certificate.

I have been longing to embrace my mother and being with her on Christmas day for the first time.

Praying and hoping for your prompt consideration on this matter.

God bless and more power!

Respectfully,

Ramil Jan E. Simba
