SECTION A - FIRE HYDRANT SYSTEM

1.0 Earth work excavation for trenches upto a maximum depth of 1.0 meters in all types
of soil (width of trench shall be as shown in the detailed drawing) including soft
rock and disintegrated rock for laying fire water supply pipes.The soil shall be
deposited on banks with all lead, lift, including necessary wooden/steel form work
where ever required. Depositing of the surplus earth after backfilling to a initial lead
of 30 meters. Refilling of the pipe line trenches and foundation with selected earth
available from the trench excavation including watering consolidation in layers of
15cm thickness complete as per specifications. The back fill soil shall be graded soil 190
free from stones, pebbles, clay lumps and vegetation etc., complete as per the
specifications, drawings and direction of the engineer.

2.0 UNDERGROUND PIPING
Supplying, installing, testing and commissioning of GI 'C' class pipe line confirming
to IS 1239 malleable specials extruded type, such as Reducers, elbows, flanges.
necessary puddle flanges for tank connection, laying of pipes in excavated trenches,
proper supports at bottom. ( Excavation, Foundation & refilling as per item Nos E-01
of Civil works)The pipes shall be anti corrosive wrapping treated. Wrapping
material shall consist of three layers of high molecular high density polyethylene,
three layers of polymerized bitumen and one layer of polyesters (total seven
layers).Wrapping is applied over two coats of anti corrosive rubber modified
bituminous primer of density 0.92 gm/cu cm and viscosity of 500 to 1000 cps

3.0 PIPING ABOVE GROUND

Supplying, installing, testing and commissioning of GI pipes of class 'C' to confirm IS
1239, malleable specials extruded type, such as Reducers, elbows, flanges. The pipes
shall be painted with primer & Paint using approved type, Galvanized, supports at
standard spacing, anchor fasteners, bolts, nuts, clamps, rails "U" & threaded bolt,
Including cutting, Welding, fixing in / on walls, ceiling by using the supports etc, as
per drawings. The quoted rate shall also include for chasing / chipping walls, Floors,
making bore holes in walls / floor and making them good with Non shrink filler
material (as approved by Architect )in bore holes / finished in cement mortar etc.

following:(a) 80mm dia pipe fitted with single headed 63mm dia landing valve as
per design.(b) Providing 2nos 15mts long 63mm dia CP hose with gun metal male
and emale instantaneous Coupling. (c) 63mm dia branch pipe with gun metal
hexogonal detachable nozzle made of instantaneous coupling.(d) Two keys in recess
type compartment for break glass.(e) 80 mm dia. GI bend.(f) 80 mm dia. GIDF stand
pipe (1 mtr above ground). g) Hose cabinet to accomodate two sets of controled
percolating hose of 15mt length with 1 pair of male and female coupling and 1
branch pipe with nozzle. The cabinet is made of MS sheet of 16 SWG thick, with a
double door , glass font (4mm thick) with hinged door and lock. The cabinet is
painted to scarlet red colour size 30"x10"x24" & wall mounted
The pipe portion below ground shall be treated with anti-corrosive wrapping &
coating of "Pypkote" make as per detailed specification. The quoted rate shall be
inclusive of supply and fixing of hose cabinet with hinged front door and lock made
of 16G MS sheet of suitable size to accommodate the above in MS cabinet with glass 9
door and supporting frame.
9.0 Supplying, installing and commissioning of fire brigade inlet connection conforming
to IS 5290 comprising of 4nos. 63mm dia instantaneous couplings complete, CI
butterfly valve, connected to 150mm dia Fire hydrant ring main and fire hydrant wet 1
riser pipe.
10.0 Supplying, installing and commissioning of fire brigade inlet connection conforming
to IS 5290 comprising of 2nos. 63mm dia instantaneous couplings complete, CI 1
butterfly valve, connected to 150 mm dia for tank filling.
11.0 Supplying, erecting & commissioning Fire Hose cabinet comprising of internal
hydrant.
a) 63mm dia instantaneous pattern single headed oblique hydrant valve with gun
metal cap, GI chain twist release type plug.
b) 2 lengths of 15mtrs. 63mm dia reinforced rubber lined hose with instantaneous
male and female coupling.
c) 1 no gun metal branch pipe with nozzle (63mm x 20mm) with Gunmetal gate/
ball valve (20mm)
d) Two keys in recess type compartment for break glass
e) 19mm dia. Reinforced hose reel 30m length as per IS 5132 fitted with 6.35mm 24
dia nozzle and shut off valve (IS 884 - 1969) . The hose reel shall be recessed swing
type with reel drum.The hose shall be provided with coupling as per detailed
specifications.
f) The Frame shall comprise of 800 mm wide x 150 mm deep x 1200mm high made
of 16 guage 'MS sheet to house the above accessories. The cabinet shall be firmly
fixed to the wall with expansion bolts. The cabinet shall be powder coated both
internally and externally. The door shall be provided with suitable locking
arrangement as per standards.The quote shall include fixing the cabinet to the wall
& making good to the wall

Also panel shall have sufficient (min. 50 Nos) NO/NC contacts for extending the
status( annunciation) of fire pumps to the Fire alarm panel.
6.0 1100 V GRADE POWER / CONTROL CABLES
Supplying, installing ,testing and commissioning of FRLS,PVC outer sheated, steel
armored, aluminum conductor, 1100v grade power cables with glands etc.The
cables shall be laid in tray / Hume pipe / in trenches/on walls/ floor etc. as
required. For cables laid out door the rate shall include earth excavation providing
brick and sand protection, refilling and compacting the earth. The rate shall
excludes tray & Hume pipes. The minimum size of the cables shall as mentioned

2.0 Supplying and installing of in position the following type of sign boards made out of
3mm thick "Opaque" PVC foam board with computer cut, PVC Non-reflective self
adhesive vinyle painted foam board, complete with mirror fasteners.
a. Signage with printed "IN CASE OF FIRE, USE STAIRS UNLESS INSTRUCTED
OTHERWISE" of 1.5cm height letters in red with white back ground. The size of the
board shall be 25cm x 30 cm and shall be fixed at the height of 2 mts. from finished 28
floor near Manual call points.
b. Floor identification signage ( i.e., GROUND FLOOR …etc.) at each stair enclosure on
every floor, indicating the floor number in words, lettering size shall be 7.5 cm with
contrasting color from back ground. Size shall be 15cm x 60cm. 28
c Fire Exit signage at each stair on every floor, indicating the direction of fire exit,
lettering size shall be 7.5 cm with contrasting color from back ground. Size shall be 200
15cm x 60cm.
3.0 Supplying and installing of in position the signages " FIRE ORDER" it should contain
the following matter on 3mm thick "Opaque" PVC foam board of computerized cut,
PVC Non-reflective self adhesive vinyle painted foam board of 3' x 4'. 5
a A) alert the security at security room by actuating manual call point located at
strategic locations.
B) evacuate the occupants by using fire exits and emergency exits only and assemble
at various assembly poits.
C) if possible try to extinguish the fire by using nearest / suitable portable
extinguisher or water from nearest wet riser.
D) be calm and do not give any room from panic, walk, do not run.
E) if you encounter serious difficulty in evacuation, flat and try to attract attention of
rescue team.
b Action by security/reception upon receipt of information through fire alarm or fire

SECTION F: FIRE DETECTION & ALARM SYSTEM

1.0 Smoke detectors

Supply and installation of Analog addressable optic smoke detectors(multi sensor)

suitable for detecting a wide range of smoke from slow smouldering and fast
flamming fire.The detector shall have following features and also including supply of
all fixing materials complete as required.
I. Solid state addressing arrangement in combination with a hand held progarmmer

to configure the sensor address. 332
ii. Electronics free mounting base.
iii. Twin alarm LEDs for 360 deg. Viewing and shall have blinking LED facility.
iv. Photo electric sensor shall have a removable chamber for ease of cleaning or
replacement.
v. Simple anti-tamper locking mechanism.
vi.Automatic compensation for smoke sensor contamination.
vii. Shall have a built in test facility which allows the alarm threshold levels to
compensate for contamination and shall have a maintenance alarm display when
threshold can no longer be adjusted.
viii. Operating temperature-- 10 deg C to 50 deg C and operating RH at 40deg C --
95% RH.
2.0 Duct detectors
supply and installation of optical type duct detectors same as item No.1.0 above but
inside a air sampling chamber to be located inside the AC return air duct including 2
supply of all fixing materials
3.0 Heat detectors
Supply and installation of analog addressable heat detectors.The detectors shall
have the following features: 20
4.0 Visual indicators
Supply and installation of visual type response indicators with LED indicating lamp,
housed in suitable MS enclosure with acrylic cover fixed in flush with wall to
operate in conjunction with smoke/Heat detectors operating on 24 VDC installed
above the false ceiling or below the false floor, complete with all accessories and 1
fixing materials as required and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
5.0 Short circuit isolator

Supply and installation of short circuit isolator,analog addressable type for isolating
analog devices from short circuit,fault isolating module shall have LED that latchesto
indicate a short on the loop.This device shall automatically determining an return to
normalcondition of the loop restore the isolated segments 14
6.0 Electronic Hooters

Supplying, installing ,testing and commissioning of Hooter Cum Strobe at 85 dBA @
3m for Audible annunciation and 75cd flashing at 1 Hz for visual indication. With
Control Module. The Hooter cum Strobe with Control Module shall be flush or
surface mountable type with all accessories etc., complete and as per technical 28
specification. The devices shall be of EN and LPCP listed
7.0 Manual call station

Supplying, installing ,testing and commissioning of break glass type Manual call
point . The Manual call point with monitor module shall be single stage type with all
accessories and suitable sinages complete., the Manual call point shall be as per 28
technical specification. and shall be of EN and LPCP listed.

Supplying, installing ,testing and commissioning of Addressable Monitor Module

complete with all accessories. The two wire monitor module shall mount in a 101.6
mm square, 54 mm deep electrical box or with an optional surface back box. The
8.0 monitor module shall be as per technical specification and shall be of EN and LPCP 8
listed.
Supply, installing testing and commissioning of Addressable Control Module. It shall

be provided to supervise and control the operation of one conventional device of
compatible, 24 VDC powered, polarized audio/visual Notification layout. The
9.0 Addressable control module shall be as per technical specification. And shall be of 42
EN and LPCP listed.
Supplying, installing ,testing and commissioning of Control relay Module for Lift
10.0 Machines. The module shall be as per technical specification. The devices shall be of 5
EN and LPCP listed
12.0 Fire alarm control panel
Supply, installation,testing and commissioning of micro processor

based,digital,distributed processing real time,multi tasking and multi - user type 4
loops as per Analogue addressable type fire alarm control panel (FACP) and control 1
panel shall have the following features including supply of all fixing materials
interconnections earthing complete as required.
i. FACP shall be suitable for operating on 230V 50HZ AC supply and smoke detectors
shall be powered using FACP based smoke detection circuits.Devices shall receive
power and communication from the same pair of conductors.
ii. FACP shall provide for resetting smoke detectors fault isolation and sensor loop
operation.
iii. FACP shall be suitable for mixing different fire devices and beam smoke detectors
with in the same loop to optimize field wiring.
iv. FACP shall have alarm indication of individual sensors detector trouble alarm
indication for dust accumulation.The panel shall check detectors once in every 24
hours for contamination for this purpose.
v. The FACP shall regularly supervise all the sensors and devices on the loop and
initiate fire or trouble alarm whenever required.
vi.FACP shall have 2 wire circuit to connect 125 addressable devices & 125 detectors
per loop.
vii. FACP shall be with repeater interface and suitable 24V battery with built in
software and 2x40 character alphanumeric LCD display and necessary front panel
control keys.FACP shall display the date time and description for Anologue sensors
to indicate alarm and trouble situations.
viii. FACP switch shall allow authorised personal to accomplish the following:-
a) Initiate general alarm condition
b) Silence the local audible
c) Silence the alarm signals
d) Reset all zones /points
ix.FACP shall have walk-test facility
x. Shall have facility for programming from the key board or utililsing PC set up
software via lap top/desk top computer.
xi. Shall have memory data for panel configuration and operation reside in non -
volatile memory(EPROM)
xii. FACP shall have facility for speech processor (to record pre-recorded message of
20 S) and also have auto dialer facility.(Can dial upto 8 different lines)

xiii. All addressable units shall be connected to the FACP through the loop cards and
shall be addressed through individualized numbers.The FACP shall be able to obtain
Analogue value for all detectors in the circuit through a pulsed digitized current
data.The FACP shall be able to analyze all Analogue inputs from all addressable units
and through its own software and ambient level screening.The FACP shall be able to
identify fire,possible fire or fault conditions.The unit supervision shall be dynamic
and continuos.
xiv. The FACP shall itself have all loop cards in it.No isolated mother board or
transponder shall be considered
xv. Short / open circuit units shall also be reported at the FACP in such cases,the
system through the use of fault isolators shall be able to isolate that segment
between the two fault isolators.The missing detector /device shall also be reported
to the FACP with identification of the location.
xvi. The FACP shall have the facility to set smoke sensor sensitivity remotely to
either high sensitivity manually or on a pre - programmed sequence(ie Day/Night)
period.
xvii. When an alarm condition is sensed at the FACP from smoke or heat detector ,a
delay time /alarm verification period shall be started. If the sensor is still in alarm
after the delay time expired an alarm condition is reported.The delay time shall be
adjusted from 0 to 990 seconds.
xviii. The FACP shall have either and in-built or external printer coupler to the FACP
which shall log all events with time.The printout shall clearly indicate the event
-Fire/pre alarm fault etc.with uint address and time.
xix. The FACP shall also be able to discriminate between false alarms and fire
conditions,as well as priority selection of alarm in case alarm activates in two or
more remotely located units simultaneously.In such cases the manual call stations
shall have the highest priority.
xx. The FACP also be able to actuate switches automatically in case of fire conditions
that of AHUs and power supply or other system such as piped pressurised gas
supply.
xxi.The system shall be fail safe and adequate safe gaurds should be under taken
that in the event of a failure of a part of the system it shall not handicap the
complete system.The loop cards shall be of modular construction.
xxii. The FACP shall have its own battery backup of a minium 48 hours in normal run
and half an hour in the alarm condition.The back up time calculation shall be done
as per TAC standards.The battery shall be 2 x 12V (24V)DC and of sealed
maintenance free type,housed inside the FACP.
xxiii. It shall be able to with stand the temperature varition from 0 deg.C to 50 deg
C.and further RH (non condensing type )up to 95% shall not hamper its
performance.The voltage rating shall be from 17V DC to 31V DC though the voltage
may change depending upon the working voltage of proprietary FACP
xxivThe FACP shall be totally enclosed ,dust and vermin proof type made of
minimum 16 SWG dust inhibited sheet with oven finish.The FACP shall be
completely solid stage design
xxv.The logic circuitry shall be based on high noise immunity solid state hardware
employing modular construction. Logic cards shall be of epoxy fiber glass
construction.
xxvi. The FACP shall have EN 54/UL/FM approval.
xxvii. The panel shall have extra loop card to serve as stand by in case of burntout or
malfunctioning of any operating loop cards.

xxviii. The FACP shall be capable of being networked (future expansion) with other
similar FACP located at different part of the premises through single RS 485 bus.
xxix.The FACP shall have provision for interfacing with the public address system
and BMS(RS 485)
13.0 80 Character Liquid Crystal Display Repeater Panel which mimics all display
information from the host panel and control switches for System Acknowledge,
Signal Silence, Drill and Reset with enable key. The Repeater Panel shall have system
LEDs for Power, Alarm, Trouble, Supervisory and Alarm Silenced. It should display
device type identifiers, individual point alarm, trouble or supervisory, zone and
custom alpha labels. It should have time and date display field. The panel shall have 1
provision to be powered by 24 VDC from the host FACP or from remote 24 VDC
power source. It should be capable of being remotely located up to 6000 from the
host control panel.
14.0 Supply and Wiring

14.1 Supply and wiring with 4C x 1.5 sq.mm FR twisted pair shielded,1.1KV grade PVC
insulated armoured copper conductor cable, PVC overall sheathed cable in already
laid conduit with interconnections complete as required and as directed by EIC. R.Only
14.2 Supply and wiring with 2C x 1.5 sq.mm FR twisted pair shielded,1.1KV grade PVC
insulated unarmoured copper conductor cable, PVC overall sheathed cable in
already laid conduit with interconnections complete as required and as directed by 2900
EIC.(For fire detector )
15.0 Conduit
Supply and embedment of 25mm dia HGMS conduit concealed in wall / floor /
ceiling including supply and drawing of 12 SWG GIwire as fish wire including supply 2900
of all fixing materials complete as required and as directed by EIC.
