$93,000 a year so that is $48 an hour
5. Job description: pharmacists need to prepare medicine that has been prescribed to
the patient, than they need to prepare the dosage of the certain medicine
prescribed, than they need to explain when and how to take the medicine.

10. Skills or characteristics required: pharmacists need to be able to multitask,
have science and math skills, accuracy, communication skills, time management
skills and they need to be precise
11. Disadvantages of occupation: pharmacists can get in a lot of trouble if they are not
precise enough with the medicine dosages that they’re going to give to their patients.
There can also be radioactive medicine
12. Describe how your values, skills and interests relate to this career option: my
interest in chemistry is a big part on why I want to become a pharmacist; also I have
most of the skills required for being a pharmacist.
13. What courses and grades are needed to enter this occupation? grade 11-12
chemistry, biology or physics (need 2), pre-calculus 11-12, calculus, BSC, PharmD,
pharmacy internship you will need a minimum of a 75% average in all the courses
15. Typical hours of work: pharmacists work about 40 hours a week but pharmacists in a
hospital are staffed 24/7
16. Describe what has influenced your choice of this occupation: I am very interested in
chemistry and medicine; I think it’s fascinating how you can be a part of someone’s
journey to recovery.
17. What are the future trends of this occupation: pharmacists will be in demand in the
future because technology cannot replace them.

years of BSN it will be $72,000-$104,000
22. Salary range: the entry level position starts at $41,396 than you will go up to
$75,309 and RNs who have been working for a very long time earn up to
$128,026 a year
23. Job description: RNs treat and care for their patients if that is post or pre surgery or
for whatever reason they are in the hospital for RNs also operate medical equipment,
analyze tests and educate the patient on their medical condition they also record
the patients symptoms while their being cared for

very patient with people and I like to care for other people
30. What courses and grades are needed to enter this occupation? Bachelor of Science
in Nursing
31. Working conditions: Most RNs work in hospitals and some might work at nursing
home.
32. Typical hours of work: typical hours for RNs are 40 hour work weeks, but being
an RN means doing overtime and working during holidays.
33. Describe what has influenced your choice of this occupation: this occupation has
influenced me because i think that helping people who are not able to help
themselves is a very humble job to have and having this job I will be surrounded by
medicine which is very interesting to me.
34. What are the future trends of this occupation: future trends for nursing is too grow

TRADES CAREER
Name: Navnidh Brar
38. Cost of training in Canadian $ (full program cost for all years): it will be
approximately $8,000 to complete the full culinary program
39. Salary range: the salary depends on which restaurant you work at and what your
experience is in cooking. But the starting point of a cook is $114,000 per year.
40. Job description: cooks need to prep all the ingredients, prepare food for customers
while doing this they need to follow food safety procedures, they also need to assist
other cooks and clean their stations.

45. Disadvantages of occupation: unsafe (working with hot oil), long hours, stressful,
competition with other cooks, low pay, physically demanding job.
46. Describe how your values, skills and interests relate to this career option: I’ve had
experience in restaurants so I know the pressure of how fast pace everything is and
what if feels like to be a cook even though it has been at fast food restaurants
47. What courses and grades are needed to enter this occupation? High school
diploma, cooking related program
48. Working conditions: cooks work in the kitchen under a lot of pressure to cook food
fast.
49. Typical hours of work: cooks are often needed to work early morning shifts all the
way until dinner and work during holidays. A typical work week would be 50 hours
because cooks are required to work during weekends because those are the busiest
days.
50. Describe what has influenced your choice of this occupation: I really enjoy cooking
and I’ve worked at restaurants before and I know the environment for a cook.
51. What are the future trends of this occupation: cooks will be in demand in the future
because technology has yet to replace cooks at restaurants
