Snowfling Mittens
Knitters with experience in color stranding
will appreciate Tanis Lavallee’s Snowfling
Mittens on many levels. They are beautiful,
warm, and full of knitterly details. A sampler
set of large snowflakes decorates the backs
of the mittens, while smaller snowflakes
decorate the palms and thumb gussets. The
cuff is doubled for warmth. And finally, the
ultimate mitten luxury will be the knitted
lining which will make your mittens cozier
and more durable.

Dino Crochet
Kerry Lord has developed a wonderful crochet TOY
animal
making system. The toys are safe for young children. They sit up
by themselves on a toy self. They are built to take real play. But,
most importantly, they make everyone smile.
Your first dinosaur will be made with Toft DK, a wool yarn that is
perfectly suited to toy making. The soft and squishy Toft yarn
fills in the spaces between stitches so that your stuffing will not
peek out.
Your kit includes Toft yarn for your first dinosaur, booklet for 15
dinosaurs, and stuffing. All you will need to bring to class is a
Size C crochet hook.

Cocoknits Sweater
Julie Weisenberger of Cocoknits has created a
top down, seamless S W E AT E R making
system that imitates the look of a set in sleeve.
Sometimes seamless sweaters suffer from lack of
structure that causes the garment to lose shape.
Julie Weisenberger has conquered this problem
by adapting the English Tailored Shoulder to hand
knitting. Her techniques give your sweater good
bones, providing structure and support in the critical
shoulder area. The top down construction makes it
very easy to get the exact sleeve length and sweater
length that you want.
The goal of this class is to get you comfortable with
the Cocoknits basic sweater system and help you
see how you can easily make small modifications

Entrelac
Entrelac is one of the great tricks of the knitting
world. Is it woven? Does it involve a lot of sewing?
None of the above. You’ll work with self-striping yarn
which creates the illusion that each small section is
made from a separate yarn source, when in fact you’ll
be working with one continuous strand. It’s also a
great opportunity to try the option of “knitting back
backwards” so that you can work with the right side
of the piece facing you at all times. Choose the wide

SH AW L version or a narrower SCA RF

version and finish with an elegant knotted fringe.
