GASTROINTESTINAL INFECTIONS IN CHILDRENS

RECOMENDATIONS:

1. If the baby is under one year of age, at least half a cup after each bowel movement or vomit, slowly
with a teaspoons.
2. If the children is over one year of age, at least one cup after each evacuation or vomit; slowly and
with a teaspoons
3. If the children threw up, wait 10 minutes and offer again, slower than the previous time.
4. Continue breastfeeding frequently.
5. Diet without fats, without condiments, or preservatives.
6. If the children is older, he can consume rice, soup, tortillas, cooked vegetables without shells
(potatoes, carrots, broccoli), fruits without shells (apple, pear, peach, banana), chicken and turkey
without skin, beef, cooked ham, Soups, broths, fresh fruit water with little sugar.
7. Avoid juices, tea, home remedies, soft drinks, sausages, sugary drinks.
8. Try to eat more often than usual with your children and give him an extra meal a day to regain lost
weight.

WARNING SIGNS:

1. Presence of 3 vomiting or 3 bowel movements in one hour

5. Complete lack of appetite
6. Fever of difficult control
