The Focus of This Lesson Is Teaching Pure Korean Numbers from 1 to 100 in Korean.
Korean has two sets of numbers: Sino-Korean Numbers and Pure Korean Numbers. 순수
한국어 숫자 (Sun-su Han-guk-eo sut-ja) means "Pure Korean numbers." We use these
numbers for reciting people, items, time, hours, and so on.
In this lesson, we simply practice with the numbers one through ten, ten through twenty, and
multiples of ten up to one hundred.
1. Numbers from 1 to 10

2. Numbers from 11 to 20
*Please note that there are no Pure Korean numbers for numbers from 100. Instead, Sino
Korean numbers are used.
4. Some Others
* NOTE (you don't need to remember this for now): When they precede a "classifier" (such
as the word for 시 (si) "o'clock" when telling time), numbers ending in the digits 1 through 4
and the number 20 change as follows:

"1 o'clock" 한 시: 하나 "one" becomes han si (hana beomes han)
한 "one" + 시 "o'clock"
"2 o'clock" 두 시: 둘 "two" becomes 두 du si (dul becomes du)

"3 o'clock" 세 시: 셋 "three" becomes 세 se si (set becomes se)
"three" + 시 "o'clock"
4 o'clock 네 시: 넷 "four" becomes 네 ne si (net becomes ne)
"four" + 시 "o'clock"
20 years old 스무 살: 스물 "twenty" seu-mu sal (seu-mul
6 becomes 스무 "twenty" + 살 becomes seu-mu)
