AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Renta Rotarianna Hutasoit is my complete name. All of people around me call my

nickname, Renta. [My friends always call me by my nickname/surname, Renta] I am
b[B]ataknese, so Hutasoit is my surename that taken from my father’s surename. I was born in
Sigumpar, June 20th [th] 1993. I am 25 years old now. I am the second child from eight siblings.
I have two sisters and five brothers. The oldest one is a girl who [is] working at [in] a private
bank, the third one is a boy who [is] working in [a] showroom as [a] mechanic. My other
sibling[s] are still in [their] education progress. And here me [It is me now, sebaiknya awali
kalimat jangan dengan konjungsi “dan”], Ners Renta. I work as a nurse in a private hospital in
Medan, Indonesia. Our [My, karena ini autobiografi, lebih enak di dengar] parents, Jagar
Hutasoit and Asima Siregar, work as farmer and entrepreneur of coffee. I grew [up] in a
beautiful village [pertimbangkan untuk memilih memakai kata “hometown” di sini daripada
village] namely Sigumpar village [di sini bisa tetap ada kata village], district [of] Lintongnihuta,
[r]Region [of] Humbang [H]hasundutan, province [of] North Sumatera, Indonesia country
[“country”nya hapus aja, karena Indonesia itu sudah pasti a country] and my family is [live,
“is”nya dihapus aja] there until now.

Formerly I passed the period of my elementary school to senior high school in my

village [hometown]. In this period, I was active to help my parents’ activity. I helped them in
every spare time of my studying either after I went home from school or when I got my school
holiday. Eventhough I was just an adolescent at the time, I realized that I can’t go to school and
survive without did [do] something which [is] resulting money either in sunshine or in rainy
day. All of this [This has] trained me to be a patient and full of spirit young girl. I can see how
my parents struggled for us. However [their last education is … high school; ada yang kurang
informasinya di sini, junior atau senior high school?] they just studied until high school. But I
think that their personality, the way they think, their capability, and their creativity is more than
people who graduated from university [-pernyataan mu ini menarik dan sebenarnya terlalu

mungkin perlu dipertimbangkan, atau katakan/kembangkan dengan lebih halus/implisit atau
dihapus saja]. It opened my mind and made me thought [thinking] that I must study seriuously
[seriously] and be [become] success later. Our bustle is [will be] never be [the or a] reason for
us [me] to not go to study. [bnd. our bustle will never be a barricade for me in catching up my
studies]

After graduated my [senior] high school, I went to a national selection. I remembered

how my parents noted us that we can’t go to a college if we can’t pass the national ecamination

I praised The Lord] praised the [The] Lord, I passed it, God gave me [a] chance to join a
Government University namely University of North Sumatera with major Nursing Science.
Nursing is [was] my third list. I never think [thought] before to go to Nursing education [kamu
bisa pakai Department di sini]. I never have a dream to be a nurse. [bnd. I never dreamed
become a nurse] I listed this one just to fullfill the form [of] examination. But, God brought me
here. In the beginning, I was denial this major. [bnd. At the fisrt time, I denied this major] But,
after one year, I realized that nothing came accidentally in our life. [bnd. then, after a year, I
realized that it’s not an accidental moment, there must be a purpose] Maybe it seemed strange,
but God made it to be my new life journey. I found the purpose [that has] driven my life from
this season. Here I am now, Renta Hutasoit as a Nurse. Everyone can call me Ners Renta.

Now, I live and work as a nurse in a private hospital in Medan. I’ve been worked for
two years. In the first year, I worked as an outpatient Nurse at Royal Prima Hospital Medan.
Then, I resigned. In the second year, I work as an inpatient Nurse at Murni Teguh Memorial
Hospital Medan. While working at hospital, I am active in social project. I am active as
volunteer in some education projects. One of them was Inspiration Class of Medan which held
on February 25th 2019. We went to elementary school and inspired them to have dreams high.
[seharusnya, to have high dreams] I am education enthusiasm. I do love to educate others. I
believe that good education expands knowledge, trains skill, and builds character. So, every
profession should go to educate and inspire others. To increase my insight, I went to
International Summit namely Global Goals Summit which held on January 20th-23th 2019 at
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was inaugurated as Global Action Ambassador 2019 and I got 1st
Runner Up Outstanding SDGs Concept there. In addition, from [bnd. bisa pakai since, tapi ga
pakai until now lagi. “Since my third semester in college, I have...dst] my 3rd semester in college
until now, I have responsibility to take care three people of my younger siblings who studying
in university. I controlled [pilihan kata perlu diperhatikan, bisa pakai manage atau maintain]
their food, their necessity, their health, their task, etc. This situation learned [teach] me how to
[manage, bukan management, management itu kata benda] management my time, my emotion,
and my money. As long as we stay together, we did everything by ourselves, as cook, launder,
clean house, iron clothes, and etc. This [has] made me be [become] an independent girl.

As youth, I love to learn, organize, and travel [traveling]. I like to collaborate with others
and curious to find new things. As long as I was in junior and senior high scholl, I was active
in Youth Organization in my church, so did in school. I joined Student Organization. We did
many projects in school, one of them was [at] graduation celebration. When I was in college, I
was active in local and national organization student of nursing. I was active in Student
Government Organization of Nursing Faculty in my campus and I was active in Student League
of Nursing Science’s Institute in Indonesia. It helped me to increase my insight about the global
issues of nursing. Added, I am active in community service of Christian and alummni [alumnus]
organization. These helped me to keep in touch with my village growth [apa maksudnya village
growth? = pertumbuhan kampung halaman? karena kamu pakai frasa “to keep in touch with =
tetap terjalin hubungan/komunikasi dengan” mungkin maksud mu adalah tetap terhubung
dengan kawan-kawan di IASMALIN? Seharusnya, growth itu mungkin youth? Tapi sebaiknya
pakai “the young” aja. Misalnya, these organizations helped me to keep in touch with the young
of my hometown/village. Sebaiknya pilih kata “hometown” aja untuk arti “kampung halaman”]
and [to] keep my spiritual balance. By this chance, I have gone to many places, met many
people, and found much experiences. And I never want [wanted] to stop until here. My life
must go on. I have three principles in my life, never afraid to do mistake, be useful to other
[sebaiknya pakai kata “helpful” karena useful itu untuk alat, tools, kita manusia hanya bisa
sebatas bermanfaat dalam artian menolong, bukan menjadi alat/diperalat], and improve my
lack.
