Topic :- Impact on Weather and
Climate by Jaggery production
INTRODUCTION
The problem of our project is based on pollution due to
jaggery production and its impact on weather and climate
the production of jaggery in farms of releases a large
number of harmful substances like CO2 substances like
CO2 . These air pollutants contain non – conductive
pollutants
To combustion so, the pollution is associated with
incompletely combusted particles . The large amount of co2
and harmful air pollutants leads to rise in temperature and
global warming which leads to and hot weather and climate.
This may be a huge problem regarding pollution and have
negative effect on weather and climate.
JAGGERY
Jaggery  is a traditional un
centrifuged sugar consumed
in Asia and Africa . It is a
concentrated product
of sugarcane juice without
separation of the molasses
and crystals, and can vary
from golden brown to dark
brown in color.
Common method of jaggery
production
Problem faced in production of jaggery

There are many problems which are faced due to

production of jaggery such as production of jaggery
exerts a lot of harmful substances such as co2 and
the particles which are incompletely combusted and
it leads to global warming. And the area around the
also rises.
Due to all this the weather and climate of that area
also rises.
The particles exerted are also acidic which leads to
acid rain in that area later.
Objectives
The objective of our project are :-
To show the harm caused to our weather due to
pollution by jaggery production

To improve the jaggery production system so that it

would be environmental friendly
To decrease the air pollution due jaggery
production

To maintain a good weather and climate

HYPOTHESIS
In A particular season , the jaggery production is held
in very large scale . Due to just on industry , there is
huge amount of pollution .
There are up to more than thirty jaggery industries in
our region or there are may be thousand or even
lakhs of jaggery in industries in India . Which may be
a reason for a huge amount of pollution and increase
in amount of carbon dioxide and harmful air
pollutants and the pollution is associated with
incompletely combusted particles or air pollutants
which may lead to negative effects on weather and
climate. It may lead to increase in temperature and
harsh and hot weather
METHODOLOGY

A project is totally based on survey and

experiment . That’s why we firstly
decided to talk to some jaggery mill
workers and identify their problems as
well to analysis the impact of
production of jaggery on weather and
climate .
Secondly we decided to perform an
experiment
Regarding checking the PH value of soil
OBSERVATIONS
By the survey done by us to a jaggery mill worker to survey
the problem , impact on weather and climate due to
production jaggery . We came to following observation :-
1. The particles exerted in the process of combustion in
jaggery production are very harmful i.e. CO2 which
increase global warming which lead to change in weather
and climate
2. Jaggery production system should be improve to make it
environmental friendly
3. Jaggery production is a major activity which causes
environmental concerns after checking the PH value after
the rain in the area in the area around the area around
the mill we found it acidic . This shows activity promotes
acid rain
Result
Our project is based on impact due to production
of jaggery . By our report , we know that the
production of jaggery is not environmental
friendly now a days as the pollution exert due to
jaggery production is very harmful as it contain
incompletely combusted particles which are
produced in a huge amount and besides this all
India is agriculture rich country and major good .
That’s
Why the process of jaggery making should be
improved so as to make it environmentally
friendly by using the solution given by us in the
project
Conclusion
Agriculture is the backbone of our country and
jaggery production is the major process in
it but jaggery needs to release in harmful
substances , which is the problem of the
project . That’s why our project aims to
improve the jaggery production system and
decrease pollution due to it as well as
maintain a weather and climate. Jaggery
production is a important process and it is
used vastly in India that’s why it should be
improved by using the process or a method
like three pan jaggery and other methods.
Solutions
The pollution exerted by the jaggery mills and
problems due to jaggery production can be
controlled by using Biogas . A Biogas plant consists
of a well-shaped underground tank called digester ,
which is made of bricks ,and has a dome shaped
roof , also made of cement and bricks . The digester
is a kind of sealed in which there is no air. The dome
of the digester tank act as a gas holder or a storage
tank for the biogas . Biogas is a mixture of methane ,
hydrogen and hydrogen sulphide . Biogas is
prepared from cow dung , it does not pollute
environment and don’t left any residue.
