I have just began investigating the phenomenon described herein; I can only speculate what I
think is the mechanism for generating pulsed microwave energy. The phenomenon is this; brass balls when
agitated in a plastic container seem to generate pulsed microwaves.
The Experiment:
Top view photo of the brass balls that are agitated in a plastic container is shown below:
Care is taken to agitate the balls so that they traverse in along the horizontal axis as much as possible:
Microwave receiver with horn antenna; waveguide has microwave diode ( 1N23 , D405, etc)

The dimensions of the waveguide follows WR90 standards (8.2 to 12.4 Ghz; approximately
in the X-band.
I have noticed that as the humidity decreases the amplitude increases significantly which
suggests to me that when the balls are agitated they pick up electrical charge from the plastic container ;
hence have an electrostatic generator where the balls are the charge collector.
When the balls collide the charge is discharged to the adjacent ball in the collision. When a
pair of balls collide they momentarily form a electric dipole (see illustration below):
I believe that the momentary electric dipole antenna is shock excited radiating (that is in the electric field
(far field) is hormonally polarized). Note that the waveguide, used in this experiment, is horizontally
polarized. When the waveguide is rotated 90 degrees the signal decreased significantly. If I place my hand
between the agitated balls and the receiver the signal is severely decreased; flesh absorbs microwave energy.
Based on what I am observing I have reason that the agitated balls are generating microwave energy in pulsed
form.
