C. .MOTIVATION:
(4Pics 1word) Students will try to guess what is the zoomed/projected pictures. If they answered
correctly, they will get a chip equivalent to 3pts.
Can you think of a word that could summed up all your answered words?
What does those pictures indicate or show?
3. Unlocking of Difficult words:
Teflon - a special coating applied to the inside of some aluminum or steel pots and pans
Ceramic – made of clay that has been heated to a very high temperature so that it becomes
hard.
Cast Iron
Steel – a strong, hard metal made of iron and carbon.
Stainless – made from materials resistant to stain.
Aluminum – a silver metal that is strong and light and that is used for making many
products.

Any cook should be familiar with the correct utensils, devices and equipment in the kitchen. It is important
to consider several things and not only the price when buying them. The job of cooking requires specific
tools, utensils, and equipment for proper and efficient preparation of food. Each piece has been designed to
accomplish a specific job in the kitchen.
For you as a student how is it important to know the Different materials of kitchen utensils and
tools in your daily life?
If you were given a chance to create a new tools and equipment what would it be? How will
people use it?
Conceptualization:
What are the different materials commonly used in kitchen tools and utensils?
APPLICATION:
The class will be divided into 5 groups. Each group will prepare a short skit to demonstrate the
proper use of kitchen utensils for 3 minutes. (Refer to attach scoring rubrics for the scoring)
IV. Evaluation:
Read the following statement. On the third column draw a star if the statement/s in column A
match with Column B and if not write the correct word/s that best describe the statement/s.
V. Assignment
Draw additional kitchen utensils that commonly found in your kitchen.
