The first group is about of Jose Rizal that he’s fighting with a pen and papers that can

fight

Spaniards through mind and writings. The second group is about Andres Bonifacio’s works “Ang

pag-ibig sa tinubuang lupa.” and “Ang dapat mabatid ng mga Tagalog.”. Bonifacio’s poems

dedicated to the Philippines. The “Ang pag-ibig sa tinubuang lupa.” is a persuasion for the citizen

of Philippines to become patriotic. Bonifacio’s worked this poem for the Filipinos to fight against

who will conquer the Philippines and fight for our freedom. Even in the poem “Ang dapat mabatid

ng mga tagalog.”, Bonifacio wants to open the minds of every Filipino. According to the book

entitled “The Philippines: a global studies handbook” The membership in the Katipunan was only

open for the male Filipinos, they don’t want a female Filipinos to be a member of Katipunan

because it’s war for the country. The Katipunan has Gender Stereotype because they don’t want

women to be include on the war but women can also do what men can do. Andres Bonifacio and

members of Katipuneros tore their cedulas to signify that are protesting against Spanish colonial

rule and they are rebellion against the Spaniards. Katipunan did that because they want to

uncontrolled by the Spaniards and they getting choked by Spaniards. The third group talks about

Rizal and the Catholic church. It’s about the Catholic church that tackles about our identity as a

Roman catholic and that time wherein the church should be limit their powers to everyone. Rizal

made two novels that refer to the catholic church, he tackles about on how powerful be the

catholic church. Rizal is a brave person that he takes the consequences. In present day, Rizal is

like Duterte that who is not afraid to criticize the church until it corrects itself. According to Dr.

Isagani R. Medina, if Bonifacio listened to Rizal’s plan, there will be no Revolution that causing

blood and fight for the Freedom with blood. There are more possible to achieve the freedom and

no causing blood and death. Like Rizal’s did, he fought with pen and papers; mind and writings.
According to Rizal, Education is the solution to the problems of the country and will also open

the mind of the youth. Filipinos are very in need of proper education to be the youths as future

for the country. Education doesn’t give us only knowledge about what we taught us but it also

enlightens us to be able to understand the society even also who teaching us that to be develop

and to open our eyes to reality of life. The fourth group is about the Rizal’s, which signifies a high

standing in the social class during those period. He can study on the university that has high end

tuition, but unlike the other Filipinos has no pay to get study on those universities and learn and

develop that knowledge. Education or knowledge is a powerful tool which to be able have a

proper knowledge about how the society works in reality. Jose Rizal’s education is for the Filipinos

that he opens the door for the Filipinos who embraces the country’s origin and nationalism which

the Spaniards would never rule our country and getting locked by the Spaniards colonial. When

Rizal was still studying, he is with the Illustrado class but the Illustrado are anti-friars but the

Spaniards influenced us in building the foundation of our Religion which is Catholicism. All of the

most Filipinos are Catholics. It’s important to know a true value of a religion because instead

believing in religion without prior knowledge, it means that we don’t have foundation in

Catholicism. The fifth group is about Rizal became a reformist. He seeks for reforms in the

brutalizing system of Spaniards during the Spanish colonial era. In the modern day, we should

fight our complaints in our government in a peaceful manner and to have avoidance in revolution.
