A NEW DESIGN FOR A
FRESH APPROACH.
The benefit of designing a totally new aircraft is
that you can build in 21st century advancements
rather than compensate for old technology. In the
cabin, traditional lighting, attendant call controls,
and current trip status have been integrated into a
single overhead glass touch screen. In the cockpit,
mechanical flight controls and a traditional yoke
have been replaced with a side-stick control and
a full fly-by-wire flight control system to deliver the
smoothest flight. All of this works with you naturally
so you have the best flight experience.
COMFORT BY DESIGN.
The Legacy 500 combines function with modern
design. The very latest in user-friendly technology
and maximum storage space have been designed in
to complement this jet’s stylish interior. Each window
has been optimally placed for every passenger.
Ergonomic seating has been designed for comfort,
and four fully berthable club seat options even recline
flat to create beds.
A NEW DIRECTION FOR MIDSIZE.
The sheer volume of the cabin is just part of those features that give new
definition to the midsize jet. At 6 ft. tall, there’s room to stand up and at
6 ft. 10 in. wide, more room to relax. You’ll find extra space in the large external
baggage compartment, as well as easy in-flight access to the internal baggage
compartment. Only the Legacy 500 provides such expansive and complete
working and living space. From the fully-equipped galley complete with hot
and cold water to its Honeywell Ovation Select™ Cabin Connection Suite for
the ultimate connectivity and in-flight entertainment. For added convenience,
the Legacy 500 also has the largest lavatory in the class, with vacuum toilet
as standard.

RANGE WITHOUT COMPROMISE.
The Legacy 500 is the only midsize jet that can carry eight travelers so far,
with such excellent short field airport performance. Flying 3,000 nm with four
passengers is just the beginning. With eight aboard it can still fly 2,900 nm at
Mach 0.80. This means the Legacy 500 can fly the US coast-to-coast mission
with eight passengers at Mach 0.80, even against 99% of annual winds, and
still land with NBAA IFR fuel reserves.
AWARD-WINNING TECHNOLOGY
THAT LEADS THE WAY.
The Legacy 500 is the first jet in its class to replace conventional controls
with full fly-by-wire technology. This technology enables a smoother, more
natural-feeling flight by translating the manual input from the pilot electronically
rather than mechanically. Electronic fly-by-wire systems increase the number
of control surfaces that can be actuated simultaneously. This allows for
maximum performance and control, while at the same time, reducing
the pilot workload and creating a smoother flight for passengers. Additional
flight envelope protection also increases flight safety. The Legacy 450 and
Legacy 500 fly-by-wire system has received a prestigious Flightglobal
Achievement Award in the Innovator of the Year category 2010.

now recycles 80% of eligible materials. More than five years ago,
we were the first aircraft manufacturer in any country to obtain ISO
14001 certification. We were the first to certify a bio-fuel powered
aircraft, recognized by Scientific American as one of the 50 most
important inventions of 2005. Today, new generation Embraer
Commercial Jets are up to 50% more efficient than older generation
aircraft. Embraer Executive Jets emit up to 25% less CO2 than
competitors’ jets that were designed just a few years ago. And after
joining world leaders and other industry delegates at the Rio+20
Conference in June 2012, we’re already hard at work on greener
journeys for tomorrow.

maintenance plan online and update it by providing operational information.
