Health Awareness

Our health is affected by a wide variety of factors, from the genes that we inherit from our parents to the climate we live in and the work we do.

But there is a growing body of scientific evidence that shows our lifestyles play a huge part in how healthy we are.

From what we eat and drink, to how much exercise we take, and whether we smoke or take drugs, all will affect our health, not only in terms of

life expectancy, but how long we can expect to live without experiencing chronic disease.

Taking control of your health may seem daunting, particularly for those of us who are trying to change what may be the habit of a lifetime, like

smoking. But simple changes, like eating more fruit and vegetables, cutting down on alcohol and taking regular exercise, can and will help you to

look and feel better, now and in the future, whatever your age.

About awareness
Awareness is about developing an understanding of one's mental health needs and the potential to be vulnerable to further episodes of mental
illness. Such awareness increases the likelihood people with mental illness, their families, and the services they are in contact with, will engage in
health promoting and illness preventing actions.

Awareness is a developmental process. It does not necessarily occur after a first episode of mental illness, nor require a diagnostic label.
Awareness is a complex and individual learning process that involves a growing understanding of the self and the place of mental illness within
the self-identity. Awareness is a paradox of acknowledging potential vulnerability to future illness, while maximizing mental health and not being
constrained by a mental illness sick role.

Awareness is strongly influenced by attitudes toward mental illness in the community and in services. It is also affected by a wide range of social
and cultural factors that impact on self-awareness and self-identity. Stigma and lack of understanding of mental health and mental illness are
major barriers to awareness.

MISLEADING DIET
More and more people are becoming concerned about what they eat, especially if they consume food products
that are manufactured in food industries. However, it is hard to know what exactly you are consuming if food
industries provide false nutrition content and mislead consumers by placing false advertisements on the
packaging. When a company produces a product that contains misleading label, consumers are not receiving
complete information about the food they are eating which could lead to health issues including allergies and
problems with diabetes.
At this point, the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has started increasing regulations for prepared foods,
however, only a few years ago they had some vague laws concerning these foods and companies could get
away a lot more than they can now. One of the reasons for this was that the FDA was more concerned about the
certain effects store bought food had on people and were less concerned about misleading labels on packaging.
However, they seem to have become more aware of the fact that a lot of companies are tricking consumers into
believing that their product is the best, and the FDA has started to regulate companies that have misleading
advertisements.

Good health is the necessity of living a healthy life for every one of us which needs to maintain a healthy diet and healthy habits throughout the life. However, the custom

eating junk food in many is increasing day by day and making our future sad and diseased especially our future generations. Parents should be very conscious towards
the eating habits of their kids and children because in the childhood they never know and decide their good or bad so it is parents who are fully responsible for the good or

bad eating habits among their kids. They should train their kids about eating habits from childhood and make them clear about the differences between healthy and junk

foods.
