*Note:

>Units that do not have ICP from factory, will need to purchase a full
ICP license.

purchase a maintenance license to load a newer ICP version that is
past the 120 days of their manufacturing date.

Checking the right versions for Devices originally licensed

When an Intermec device is purchased with ICP ( ITE+ IB) loaded

from the factory, the license will still be on the device even when the
application has been removed. (possibly from clean boot, OS reflash,
or service). The problem is, the version of the application that the
device was licensed for may be unknown.

To overcome this dilemma, it is possible to use the device serial

number to determine the manufacturing date and then select the
corresponding ITE or IB version.
• Legacy Units: CK3B, CN3, CV30, CK60

There is a 120 days grace period where one can use a version
of ITE that the build date is not more than 120 days from the
manufacturing date.
• Current units: 70 series ,CK3X and CK3R

There is a 485 days grace period where one can use a version
of ITE/IB that the build date is not more than 485 days
( 365+120 ) from the manufacturing date.
If the one wants to load ITE or IB that the build date is greater
then the grace period they need to purchase a maintenance
license.
• CV41 ITE stop checking for license starting with version
1.40.10.0120
