FOREWORD
Praise to the presence of God Almighty, who has bestowed His grace and
guidance, so that we can complete the Report of Industrial Visit (KI) in PT.
Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk. The purpose of preparing the Industrial Visit
Report (KI) is to meet one of the tasks in the implementation of Industrial Visit.
Thank you we must not forget to say to those who have helped us in
completing this report.
The authors have a report that we make away from the perfect word, for that
we request criticism and suggestions that are being built for improvement in the
future.
Hopefully this report we make can be useful for ourselves especially and
readers in general.

PRELIMINARY
A. Background Research
In modern times there are various brands of noodles that emphasize quality
and quality. Examples of instant noodles that prioritize the quality of one of
Indofood Instant Noodles. Indofood Instant Noodle much in demand by the
public even to the country wide, therefore the author took the title "Report of
Visitation Result to PT Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk". In order for the public
to know about the making of Instant Noodles Indofood Products. Industrial
Visit Program (KI) is an activity to give an idea to the students how the world
of industry outside the school.

OBSERVATION RESULT
A. Brief History
PT.Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk is one of the companies engaged in
food. This PT was established in 1997 and was first produced in January 1998.
This PT is located on Prof.Ir Sutami street.15 Lampung industrial area
Siondang village sari Kec.Tanjung Bintang Lampung Selatan with an area of
approximately 7.6 ha.
Instant noodle industry in Indonesia begins with the establishment of PT.
Five One Sankyu in April 1968, in 1977 the company changed its name to PT.
Five One Sankyu Indonesia which then changed again to become PT. Supermie
Indonesia, in accordance with its flagship instant noodle brand is supermie. In
1970, the noodle market enlivened again with the establishment of PT.
Sanmaru Food Manufacturing, one of the subsidiaries of Jangkar Jati Group
which produces instant Indomie, which is then followed by the establishment
of PT. Sarimi Asli Jaya (Salim Group_ 1982 in tangerang that produce instant
noodle Sarimi.
Since then the development of instant noodle market began to be marked
by intense group competition, especially after Indofood (Salim Group) merged
with Jangkar Jati Group (1984) by forming PT. Indofood Interna Corporation.
In 1986, PT. Indofood Interna Corporation through its subsidiary PT. The Insan
Makmur symbol takes over PT. Supermie Indoneisa. In 1992 Salim Group took
over all shares of Jangkar Jati Group. And the peak is when Indofood revoked
its product from PT distributor network. Wicaksana Overseas and diverted to
Indomarco (Pebapan), since then Indofood dominance with instant noodle
brand Indomie, Supermie, and Sarimi start to dominate domestic market.
On February 5, 1994 Indofood changed its name to PT. Indofood Sukses
Makmur, where the company itself was originally named PT. Panganjaya
Intikusuma established on August 14, 1990. The original founder and
stockbroker was Mr. soetojo Koerniawan and Mr. Herryjanto Setiadi.

On October 1, 2009 PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk renamed again to
PT. Indofood CPB Sukses Makmur. CPB stands for Consumer Branded
Products consists of four divisions, namely Mie, Spice Food, Snack Food and
Nutrition & Special Food.

b. Pressing (Press)
This process results in the formation of noodle strands with a certain
thickness.
c. Steamina (Steaming)
This process is done to produce a ripe and chewy noodle strands
from steaming.
d. Cutting (Cutting)
Cutting process and ready for frying process.
e. Frying (Frying)
The frying process uses a temperature of 130-150 c with a time of 75
seconds.
f. Colling (Cooling)
The cooling process takes approximately 15 minutes.
g. Packing
The final process and the noodles are ready packed by entering the
oil spice and the production code printers.

1. raw materials and finished goods are stored using pallets and stored in
their respective warehouses.

4. Quality Assurance
PT.Indofood received a certificate indicating that the quality assurance
of this PT is good, the certificate is:
a. Certificate of halal production from Majelis Ulama Indonesia
b. Certificate of inclusion of sign sni (Indonesia National Standard) from
Ministry of Trade and Industry.
c. Iso certificate 2002 (international standard) from body sbs regarding
quality management system.

Pressure above the atmosphere can be carried out by the force of gravity in
the liquid in a column, using a pump or blower, or by centrifugal force.
Centrifugal filters are discussed in the next section of this chapter. In a gravity
filter the filter media may be no better than a rough screen or with a coarse
particle bed such as sand. Gravity filters are limited in industrial use for a
rough crystal liquid stream, drinking water purification, and liquid waste
treatment.
Filters are divided into three main groups, namely cake filter (cake),
clarifying filter, and crossflow filter. The cake filter separates the solids by a
relatively large amount as a crystal or mud cake. Often these filters are
equipped with equipment to clean the cake and to clean the liquid from the
solids before disposal. The clearance filter clears a small amount of solids from
a gas or a spark of clear liquid such as a beverage. The solid particles are
trapped in the filter medium or above the outer surface. The filtering clearance
differs from the usual filter, which has the pore diameter of the filter medium
larger than the particles to be removed. In a cross-flow filter, the suspension
feed flows with a certain pressure over the filter medium.
In Waste there are several analyzes such as BOD and COD, BOD is
biological reaction and contained in Biology waste and COD is Solid Content
or Chemical contained in liquid waste production.

A. Conclusion
1. PT Indofood successful prosperous, Tbk is one of the companies engaged in
food. This PT was established in 1997 and was first produced in January

4. Types of waste produced by PT Indofood there are 3 types of solid libah in
the form of waste cardboard and damaged noodles, gas waste in the form of
emissions from the production process and liquid waste derived from
production and non-production activities.
B. Suggestions
1. We recommend to all to be able to better understand and know about the
process of making noodles, so that we can distinguish the good noodles for
health and noodles that are not good for health.
2. For the younger siblings of class X and XI in order to better understand
again the way of making a good and correct writing, so hopefully, from year
to year getting better and true.
3. During the process of instant noodle production by PT Indofood CBP
Sukses Makmur
4. Tbk should be supervised to avoid mistakes during production.
