Brand: CrazyBulk Publish date:

Blog Post Overview (Writer responsibility)

Draft Title: Create title preferably front-loading your main keyword

URL for publishing: The exact URL you want to publish the post to.

Objective: Inform / Educate / Entertain. Give more context to the title.

Suggested length: x words (any minimum length?)

Your Message (Writer responsibility)

What do you want to say? Explain what the overall objective of article is
and where it’s leading to as the next step for that reader.

How do you want to say it? Are we trying to be neutral and impartial or
do we want to use hyperbole to put across an opinion in a stronger way.

Core message: Most important thing to say in the article, for example,
steroids hurt your health.

Key messages: Any other important points to make in the blog post.
Your Audience (Writer responsibility)

Target audience: Define your audience the best you can at the least this
should be ‘broad blog audience with interest in X’. Where you can be
more specific do so for example ‘steroid users’ or ‘natural bodybuilders’
as this will influence language used in post.

Stage of awareness: Do you expect them to know the brand, or even
what the product is? What about their awareness of topic discussing in
blog are we talking to pro’s or newbies.

Pain points: Why are they reading the content?

Target search term/s (keywords): List the main keyword you want to try
to rank for as well as any variations, include the search volume so writer
can see which terms are most important.

Content Research (Writer responsibility)

Who will be the top competitors:

1. Top competitor from Google search

2. Second competitor from Google search
3. Third competitor from Google search

Note the top competitors only include sites that are also producing blog
content, any high ranking pages on Amazon or similar sites are excluded.
What is good about competition: This is where
you list things like their choice of subheaders and
can provide a bit of a general outline for the content structure or sections.
An example would be that a review of dianabol has information about
dosage, cycling, side effects, results etc.

How can we do better: What can we do to make our content stand out
in comparison to competition, for example can we make it more skim
reader friendly or present the information in a more logical way. Or are
we simply going to provide more in depth content, why should people
read our content rather than current top ranking competitors.

Semantic terms: This section lists terms and phrases you’d expect to
see in the content, for example an article about dianabol you may expect
to see ‘dbol’ because it’s the nickname. You’d also expect to see ‘dosage’
and ‘cyles’ as well as terms related to side effects like ‘acne’, ‘water
retention’ or ‘liver damage’.

Richer Content (Publisher Responsibility)

Imagery: What imagery should we use in the blog post? Either suggest
images or provide direction.

Image alt tags: What should the alt tags be on the images

Image file names: What should the file name be for the images

Featured image: Any preferred image for featured image, also should
this featured image be same one used for social sharing.
Infographics: Would this article be suitable for an
infographic, if so what would you expect to see. This
will need discussing with design team and a proper brief.

Video: Do we have an existing video or could we create a video to

support this content and improve the quality of the blog post. Is there
someone else’s video we can embed in content to keep production costs
low?

Third party content: Is there any third party content for example on
socials that we could embed to make our blog post more appealing or
engaging.

Formatting: Should we have a table of information, or perhaps a

numbered list. Is there any way we can use formatting to improve the
content.

Meta data (Writer responsibility)

Title: Should the title just match the H1 if not what should it look like.
Anything that 100% needs to be in it (or not), feel free to create a draft
version here if easier.

Description: What needs to go in description, what’s does user get from

reading, what CTA or clickbait can we use to increase CTR. Feel free to

Opengraph title and description: Should these be the same or should

the writer create a more clickbait title and description for socials to
encourage clicks.
