In this research project we are using actuators.

The table below is the comparison of

two actuators: Relay and Solid-State Relay.

Relay

Relay is a switch with electromagnet as its base and energized by a small

current. This makes it achievable to grant almost small electric currents to clout and

regulate much larger electrical amperage. Sensors are medium devices, and they only

bring off limited quantity of electric stream, but in order for a detector to incite larger

pieces of device it demands something that would incite this device by granting larger

currents to flow. Thus, the sensor can operate as the input regulator for the relay when

it is triggered, larger electric stream discharge to the device.

Solid-State Relay

Solid State Relays are semiconductor corresponding of the electromechanical

relay and good for operating electrical loads without using movable equipment. In

contrast with electro-mechanical relays (EMR) which uses coils, springs, magnetic

fields, and mechanical connections to administer and convert a supply, the solid state

relay, or SSR, has no traversing unit but rather manages the electrical and optical

peculiarity of solid state semiconductors to execute its input to output confinement and

switching behavior.

And with these information, we conclude that we will use the solid-state relay for

it fits the description of our research.
