Minimum qualifications for appointment to the post of Principal in the college

as per U.G.C. Regulations.

1. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or a relevant grade recognized
as equivalent to 55% wherever grading system is followed) by a recognized
University.
2. Ph.D. qualification in concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline(s)in the institution
concerned with evidences of published work and research guidance.
3. Associate Professor / Professor with a total experience of 15 years of
teaching/ research /administration in University / Colleges and other
Institutions of higher education.
4. A minimum Score as stipulated in Academic Performance Indicator (API)
based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS),for Principal (equivalent
to Professor) as developed by the U.G.C. Regulations(4th Amendment) dated
11 July, 2016.
5. A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the
Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Masters Degree prior to 19th
Sept. 1991.
6. The term of the appointment of the College Principal shall be five years with
eligibility for reappointment of one more term only after a similar selection
process.
7. The original certificates must be produced at the time of interview.
8. Candidates already employed must submit their applications through proper
channel.
9. Reservation for women and persons with disabilities, etc. will be as per the
norms of Govt. of Maharashtra.
Note:-the appointment will be on the basis of final decision of Hon’ble High court,
Aurangabad Bench of writ petition No.12051/2015
