Writing - Term 3
‘Persuasive Letter’
Task: Students write a letter to someone (teacher, parent, sibling) trying to convince them to allow something.
Students must use the PEE structure and include an introduction and conclusion.
Outcomes:
Students create a persuasive letter which includes the following components
• Introduction: Sizzling starter, thesis statement and 3 reasons
• 3 x PEE Paragraphs: Point, evidence and explanation
• Conclusion: One of the following strategies: Call to action, prediction OR solution.
