ORDER
Kerala University of Health Sciences had invited application from the affiliated colleges to
be recognized as PhD research centres of KUHS as per the notification read as (1) above. On the
basis of the applications of the 42 institutions from various departments to be recognized under
KUHS, a scrutiny committee had constituted to examine these applications and selected 36
research centres as per the paper read as 2nd above for inspection. An inspection committee had
also constituted as per the order read as 3rd above and it conducted inspection at the institutions and
recommended approval of 29 institutions for conducting PhD programme under KUHS.
The Academic Council has approved the recommendations of the scrutiny committee and
29 research centres selected to be registered as recognized under KUHS. In compliance to the
decision of the Academic Council as per the paper read as (5) above, the Governing Council has
approved the minutes as per the paper read as (6) and the decision was implemented.
In the circumstances sanction is hereby accorded by the Vice Chancellor, in exercise of his
powers under section 12(7) of Kerala University of Health Sciences Act 2010, the recognition of
the following 29 Institutions as research centres under Kerala University of Health Sciences for
pursuing the studies for PhD programme.
