How can we improve the contribution of the construction industry to the total of GDP
of our country?
Construction Industry is one of important industries of today that has a largest
impact on the economy for whole country. Moreover, the construction projects lead to
very exciting times in the sector. Not only does it bring a new challenge, but it creates
jobs as well. And as soon as the project is completed, the purpose of those buildings
will then go on to create new jobs for the citizen as well.
Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is the total monetary or market value of all the
finished goods and services produced within a country's borders in a specific time
period. As a broad measure of overall domestic production, it functions as a
comprehensive scorecard of the country’s economic health.
The first way for improving contribution rate of construction rate are by using
up-to-date machineries at construction site. Advantage of this steps is for ease the
work at site and can be done in a short time compared to usual machineries. Up-to-
date machineries also provide safety steps to workers use it in a safe way. Other that
that, using IBS for the construction project that will reduce the cost of the project, will
increase the quality of building and duration of the project will be less.
Other that, investment and spending budget towards construction could affect
the Gross domestic product (GDP) Design of the building, size of structure and
function of building can be few of factors that architect and contractor need to be
considered. Produce the effective work plan to reduce any problem that can happen.
If not, the cost and duration of project will be affected. If there is one of the important
element works is delayed, the time management will be drag because other element
cannot be done in a stated time.
Demand must be equal with the total of consumer. It is about the ability and
willingness of consumer to pay. The higher the price, the lower the demand of
consumer. An example, for consumer who are searching for their first property living,
contractor has to list the property in an affordable price and also the property must
have lots of potential for consumer to use. Other than that, facilities like community
building, highway and shopping mall has to be located in a strategic and best place
for citizens.
