Unidad 2.

adverbios de secuencia como first, then, next, after y finally.

Ejemplo: I wake up at 5:00 a,m then I take a shower, after I get dressed, next I have a coffee and
then I go to work.

I go to the gym twice a week. I have meetings twice a month.

Ejemplo 1: I´m working as a security guard at Segurcol. My main responsibilities are to patrol the
facilities and check that the doors, windows and entrances are closed and secured. I have to take
care of the facilities during my shift. I have to give information and directions to visitors and
customers. I have to control the access of vehicles and people to the facilities. I have to report any
incidents in our logging book (minuta).

Ejemplo 2: I wake up at 5:00 a,m then I take a shower, after I get dressed, next I have a coffee and

Unidad 3. Indicaciones, instrucciones y ordenes

Giving directions to find a bathroom:

Security guard: How may I help you?

Visitor: Excuse me, where can I find the washroom?

Security guard: Of course, you can go along/straight this hall, go past the café and you´ll find the
bathroom at the end of the corridor, on the left.

Visitor: Thanks a lot.

Security guar: Have a nice day.

Intructions to use a printer: Check that printer is plugged in. Turn the printer on. Click print and
wait for the paper to be printed. Remove the print out from the tray.

Imperativo - Orden: Open the door. Close the door.

Imperativo amable: Open the door, please.

Solicitud amable: Could you open the door, please?

Interviewer: What is your main responsibility in your current job?

Repetition:

Excuse me, could you repeat the question?

Could you say it again, please?

I´m sorry, I didn´t understand the question.

Situation 1

Interviewer: What is your main responsibility?

Candidate: I´m sorry, what is main?

Interviewer: Yes, main is the most important responsibility in your job.

Candidate: ahh, Ok. My main responsibility is to control the entrance of visitors to the building.

Tip:

estructuras que acabamos de revisar.

Recomendaciones:

realicemos, mejores resultados podremos obtener.
sabemos controlar nuestras emociones. A mayor nivel de preparación y conocimiento, menor
sensación de temor o nervios.
