Goal #1 Develop assessment techniques that increase the students understanding of self evaluation.

Rationale I acknowledge that many students may not fully comprehend the expectations with regards to
self- evaluations, and want to ensure through consistently identifying expectations of the
students that they are able to become more successful at completing accurate self
evaluations.
Strategies Reviewing each of the assessment standards as noted in the physical education
rubrics, and providing an example of what it would look like to be within each of the
different categories.
Goal #1 Creating meaningful and effective learning experiences for all students by considering
(PIP) individual contexts; aiding underperforming students in becoming lifelong learners.

Rationale I recognize that many students are struggling with attending school, aren’t finding success in
class work, creating excuses, and are becoming progressively unmotivated to learn/
participate with course materials. I also acknowledge the importance of creating reflective
experiences that are personal for each student, to spark their interest, and encouraging them
to appreciate their classroom experiences.
Strategies Becoming involved in extracurricular activities (specifically sport related), to promote
student interest in becoming active for life. (Outcome D)
Utilize written self evaluations on student’s personal work, to gain motivational
understanding.
Develop a growth mindset within the classroom community/ teach others about
what a growth mindset is/ looks like.
Research more on growth mindset (“The Growth Mindset Coach” by: Annie Brock
and Heather Hundley)
Review articles for motivation within athletics and school work.
Organizing external presentations for students and teachers *
Organize a presentation for the teachers*
Creation of a book based on motivating the unmotivated*
Indicators of Involvement from the community. Increased interest from other staff members (questions,
Achievement emails, etc.). Positive feedback from both students and staff members. The ability to run
presentations, and bring in presenters from external places. Creation of a culminating book.
Being part of athletics programs/ other volunteer opportunities.
Time Line Continue to develop throughout the semester. Line up presentation times, and community
involvement opportunities by the end of October. Become part of a team/ volunteer by the
end of September. Creation of a book by December. Staff and community reviews/ feedback
ongoing.
