(Personal)
Related TQS 1(a), 2(d), 3(c), 4(c), 6(b)
Rationale I acknowledge that many students may not fully comprehend the expectations with regards to
self- evaluations, and want to ensure through consistently identifying expectations of the
students that they are able to become more successful at completing accurate self
evaluations.
Strategies  Reviewing each of the assessment standards as noted in the physical education
rubrics, and providing an example of what it would look like to be within each of the
different categories.

 Clearly communicating my expectations of students at the start of the module/

lessons.
 Utilizing different assessment strategies based on the students understanding.
 Addressing the curricular outcomes and competencies that they will be evaluated on
consistently.
Indicators of Positive feedback from students about self assessments. Students asking questions regarding
Achievement their self evaluation, to becoming familiar with with the expectations. Students providing
more accurate self evaluations based on their adherence to the intended outcomes.
Time Line Continue to introduce the standard assessment protocol for the physical education
department at the start of each module. Use a variety different assessment tools each module
to find what students are most comfortable with (while still maintaining the physical
education departments standard assessment rubric). The collection of self-evaluations from
multiple students in each module.
